Another year done 💪🏻 The last few weeks we have been busy with lots of fun learning. They have had a sports day which they did incredible well in, they have been to laser tag, ninja warrior, skate park and have just been having the best time with their friends celebrating the end of another fantastic year. I have absolutely loved watching my babies grow … it’s been a privilege that I will always be grateful for. Yes sometimes hard but pros definitely out weigh the cons. We have lots of new things planned after the summer holidays … it’s going to be one amazing year 🥰

Last weeks home Ed Noa & Nyla took part in a science workshop by Big Science. They learnt all about forces, chemical reactions and dry ice. They loved every minute of it, not a pen or paper in site just all hands on … they learnt so much because they enjoyed it and it was so much fun, the teacher was amazing and managed to keep the interest of all the children for 2 1/2 hrs. 😲
They also went to gymnastics, 4 motion indoor skate park and the play park to meet up with friends.
They both do maths, English and reading must days and have their tutor … both doing great in all subjects. Last week there was a lot of child lead learning … Nyla wrote a story on hockey and never giving up and read the book on resilience as inspiration whist Noa re wired a key aboard to make it light up again. They both re created the science experiments which they had learnt from big science.

This was a great to learn about and all 3 children could work together.
They all worked on conquer maths Noa and Nyla working on place value and Ava converting fractions to decimals and division by decimals. They both practice there times tables daily. All 3 doing really well and scoring high on the recap and questions.

An easy morning today to get the week started … pretty much child led… Nyla wanted to draw the planets and read about them… Noa was making buts by sticking bits together with the glue gun. Both sat down and worked on spellings and x tables and watched a short documentary on the Red squirrel. Ava did Maths then decided she wanted to write storey, loved listening to it and can’t wait to see how it ends 😊 Then this afternoon we decided to try out a new skate park which was brilliant because there was only us so they had the full park to themselves which they love. Ava wanted to learn skateboarding so like a pro Nyla took the challenge on … I was so impressed with her teaching skills and breaking things down for Ava and her patience was 👌 Ava listened and was skating along doing exactly what she been taught, sad my phone died before I could get the pics.

This week has been hit and miss with what we did as one minute the kids were ok then back down again feeling poorly😭 it was Noa’s turn this week feeling quite poorly at times.
However we did still manage some lessons and a trip to the skate park to see friends.
I got a lovely book recommended to me all about perseverance. I read the book with the kids then we had a group discussion about what it meant with lots of examples… they then went off to write about it and did a lovely picture along side it at the back of the book, which had some pages free at the back to draw your pictures … this is a lovely keepsake.
Ava covers Math, English, science and art most days these are generally around 30-40 minute lessons … then after that we alternate geography and History… she has her Spanish lesson every Thursday… the progress she is making is lovely to see …. She made herself flip cards and revises most days with help from me testing her on what she has learnt .. this has really helped her improve. It was Avas turn to make something this week and opted for a cheese cake which was so good.
Nyla has done lots of work from her Maths and English work books this week she’s really enjoying working from them … she’s also been working on the computer learning how to do coding. She loves art and is producing some really good work. Nyla has done lots of spelling and writing practice this week and reads her book daily to me.
Noa hasn’t been to well this week but has read to me everyday and managed bits of work.., it’s also lovely to see him take more interest in art and made some lovely pictures this week. On the way to the skate park (30 min drive) we generally choose a subject and research them on the way to find out more about it … this week was Julius Caesar, we learnt lots of interesting facts about him.… Noa asked if we could do more on this subject so next week we will dig deeper and find out more.
