A huge thank you to our wonderful staff for all their hard work over the summer getting everything ready. So much time, care and creativity has gone into making our pre-school a fun, welcoming and exciting place for the children to return to!

☀️💦 Beating the heat the best way we know how - WATER PLAY! 💦☀️

This week, the children had an amazing time splashing, pouring, and playing in the water to stay cool during the warm weather. From water trays to fun games, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and opportunities for sensory exploration.

The children have been busy making their very own jellyfish this week! 🪼✨🎨

Using paper plates, pens, colourful tissue paper and more, the children created unique jellyfish. This fun craft activity encouraged creativity, developed fine motor skills, and gave everyone the chance to explore different colours and textures.

🌊⚓ Seaside fun has arrived! ☀️🐚

This week, the children have been enjoying our seaside-themed tuff trays, filled with colourful water, floating boats, crunchy cereal "sand," and lots of fascinating seaside creatures to discover! 🦀🐠⛵

This hands-on sensory activity encourages imaginative play, storytelling, fine motor skills, and plenty of conversation about life at the seaside. From sailing boats across the colourful sea to searching for creatures hidden in the "sand," there has been so much excitement and learning through play!

⚽🏆🎉 Football Week fun is in full swing! 🎉🏆⚽

We turned our playdough table into mini football stadiums using pitch mats, where children used creative challenge cards to make footballs, shirts, and other football-themed designs.

We also became kit designers and trophy makers, using pencils, tissue paper, pipe cleaners, and more to create unique football jerseys and trophies full of personality.

⚽🌱🥅 Bringing the football pitch to pre-school! ⚽🌱🥅

We created this exciting tuff tray football pitch, complete with green rice “grass,” mini football players, goals, and a football, giving the children a fun and interactive way to explore the world of football.

Using their fingers to move the players, pass the ball, and score goals, the children were able to enjoy imaginative play while developing their fine motor skills, coordination, and teamwork.

This week, we released our butterflies into the garden! 🦋🌼

The children watched with excitement as the butterflies emerged and were gently set free, ready to begin their journey into the world.

What surprised us all was how reluctant they seemed to leave. Instead of flying off straight away, many of them lingered nearby, resting on flowers, hands, and even returning to the children.
