Our Nursery is conveniently located on Chapel Street in Billericay, in a beautiful Grade II listed building at the rear of Waitrose car park. The nursery is just a short walk away form Billericay train station. We provide quality and holistic care for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. s comfortable, loved and confident to learn and develop. Here is a little bit about what we do . . .
- We guide children’s learning through the Early Years Foundation Stage ensuring they are ready for school
- We offer daily extracurricular activities such as French Class, Tots in Sport, Super Sports and Mini Moosic (music and performing arts) which are all included in our fees
- We have a dedicated sensory and soft play area
- Our garden area has an all weather shelter to facilitate learning in the outdoors. The sheltered area caters for our younger children of 3 months to 2 years, offering activities that cater for the 7 areas of development. The surfaces are child friendly and fit for all conditions
Each child has a daily diary personal to them, a scrap book containing arts and crafts and a personal learning journey that follows them through out the setting
- All of the fresh food we serve is sourced from the local Barleylands Farm and we have a highly qualified chef and our chef cooks all of the children’s meals on site daily, accommodating any allergies and dietary requirements. The children are offered healthy snacks each day and a variety of puddings to follow each meal
- Our settling in procedure is individually tailored to suit you as a family, we invite you to have as many or as few visits as you feel necessary
- Each child in our care is allocated a key person, this is self selected by the child in the initial few weeks with us
Our Monkey Puzzle staff team are enthusiastic, caring, highly qualified and all have a clear and up to date DBS (previously CRB) checks
We have CCTV in and around our whole building
- We encourage children to build relationships and feel part of the local community by organising trips and events in and out of the Nursery
- We hold parents evenings every six months and also hold celebrating achievement events every 3 months
- We include nappies and wipes for each session and each child has their own bed in our newly decorated cot room for if the need a rest or sleep during their day.
