Crazy Hair Day was a huge success! To end our summer half term, it was wonderful to see such amazing hairstyles in school today. The effort and creativity on display were incredible – artistic, colourful, and full of imagination. We saw everything from spiders to cakes complete with candles, and even a Silver Surfer! At one point, we even had our own mini salon, with hair being styled for our Year 4 children after swimming. A fantastic day all round – well done everyone!

In KS2 science, we explored the law of reflection and how light behaves when it hits a reflective surface. To make this hands-on and fun, the children built their own LEGO mazes, then used mirrors to test how light reflects and travels through them. It was a great way to combine creativity with scientific thinking, and the class really enjoyed experimenting and problem-solving together!

Huge congratulations to all of our amazing Year 6 children for completing their SATs this week! They started each day with a breakfast together - toast, crumpets, fruit kebabs, pancakes and even bacon rolls!

They showed such determination, resilience, and positivity throughout, and we are all incredibly proud of the effort they have put in.

A massive thank you to our Year 5 pupils as well for all of your support towards your class!

As the new household recycling system becomes fully operational in September 2026, the paper recycling bin at our school will be removed.

From April 2026, the school will no longer receive payments linked to the recycling bank.

We’d like to thank all community members who have supported the paper bank over the years. Your contributions have helped raise additional funds for our school and we appreciate your ongoing commitment to responsible recycling.
