🌊 What a week we’ve had at Make Waves! 🌊

There have been so many emotions as we celebrated our wonderful pre-schoolers heading off on their next big adventure - big school! 🎒🥹💙

Over the years, we’ve shared so many special memories, little moments, big milestones, laughs and cuddles with each and every one of them.
It’s been such a privilege to watch them grow, learn and flourish during their time at Make Waves, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they have achieved! 🌟

Although we’re going to miss them all so, so much, we’re incredibly excited to hear all about their adventures at school and watch them continue to grow into the amazing little people we know they can be. 💕

Good luck, pre-schoolers; go and show them what you’re made of! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 🎒🌈✨

💛 Keeping Make Waves Peanut-Free – A Friendly Reminder 💛

As we continue our series of reminders around our Peanut-Free Policy, we wanted to highlight just how important everyone’s help is in keeping Make Waves safe for all of our children.

We have a child who attends Make Waves with a severe peanut allergy, and even very small amounts of peanut residue or exposure can potentially result in a serious, life-threatening reaction.

Our Peanut-Free Policy is there to help protect them and ensure that everyone can enjoy their time at Make Waves safely. We therefore ask that all families please check ingredients carefully before bringing food or snacks into the setting and avoid bringing anything containing peanuts.
This policy can be found on Tapestry in the documents section and a paper copy is available upon request.

If you accidentally eat or give your child something containing peanuts before attending Make Waves, please speak to a member of our team immediately. There is no judgement - knowing allows us to take the appropriate precautions.

We really appreciate everyone taking the time to follow our policy and support us with this. It is a shared responsibility, and every small step helps us keep our little ones safe. 💛

Some of our team have tried them out for themselves, and we can confirm that they’re absolutely delicious! 😋

Making these snacks at home can also give you peace of mind when attending Make Waves, knowing that you’re helping us maintain a safe environment for all of our little ones.

💛 A Reminder About Our Peanut-Free Policy 💛

We wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of keeping Make Waves completely peanut-free.

We have a little girl who attends Make Waves with a very serious peanut allergy. Her allergy is extremely severe, meaning that exposure to peanut residue or particles can potentially cause a life-threatening reaction.

We know that accidents can happen, so if you or your child has eaten something containing peanuts before coming to Make Waves, please let a member of our team know as soon as possible.

There is absolutely no judgement - we simply need to be aware so we can take the necessary steps to help keep her safe.

We will continue sharing reminders and information about peanut allergies over the coming weeks, because awareness and understanding really can make a difference.

As many of you know, we have a child at Make Waves who has a very serious peanut allergy.

This allergy is not simply a matter of eating peanuts. For this little girl, coming into contact with traces of peanut residue on another child, or potentially being exposed to peanut particles in the air, can cause a serious and potentially life-threatening reaction.

With this in mind, we will be sharing a regular series of posts to help remind, inform and educate everyone about the dangers of peanut allergies and the importance of taking them seriously.

If you accidentally eat peanuts, or give your child something containing peanuts before attending Make Waves, we kindly ask that you tell a member of staff immediately.

Please do not be embarrassed or worried about telling us. We need to know so that we can take the appropriate precautions and keep this little girl safe.

Your honesty and quick action could make the difference between life and death. 💛

☀️ Staying hydrated is so important when we're enjoying the sunshine at Make Waves Nursery! 💧

To help keep our little learners happy and healthy, we ask parents to send their child with a labelled water bottle each day. We also take our big water jug outside with plenty of cups, so children can easily help themselves whenever they need a drink.

Our shaded area provides the perfect spot to sit, cool down, and enjoy a refreshing drink before getting back to the serious business of playing, exploring, and having fun! 🌳💙
