🍂✨ Another busy and exciting week at nursery! ✨🍂

Our little learners have been busy exploring, creating, baking and having lots of fun across all our rooms!

🌞 Sun Room
Our Sun Room has been exploring the wonderful topic of autumn! 🍁 They created their very own autumn wreaths using gluing and sticking, enjoyed autumn-themed tuff trays and got creative with beautiful handprint paintings. 🎨🍂

🌙 Moon Room
Our Moon Room has been busy exploring colours and shapes! 🌈🔵 They enjoyed some baking, practised matching different shapes and had lots of fun matching the colourful bears. 🐻💛💙❤️

⭐ Star Room
Our Star Room have continued their adventures with the story ‘Whatever Next!’ 🚀🌙 They took an exciting trip to the moon, made their own sandwiches ready for a picnic and got creative making their very own paper mâché helmets! 👩‍🚀🧑‍🚀🥪

We love seeing our children learn through play, imagination and hands-on experiences every day! 💕✨

🍂✨ What a wonderful week we’ve had at nursery! ✨🍂

Our Sun Room have truly fallen into Autumn this week! 🍁 They’ve been busy exploring the season through lots of exciting and imaginative tuff tray activities, getting hands-on and discovering all that Autumn has to offer. 🧡🍂

🔢 In our Moon Room, the focus has been all about ‘Numbers’! Our children have been interpreting numbers through lots of amazing, hands-on activities. They’ve been counting pasta as they made their own bracelets, manipulating playdough to create cupcakes and counting how many candles they could add. 🧁🕯️ They’ve also enjoyed lots of fun number rhymes, making learning numbers exciting and meaningful! 🎶🔢

📚🚀 And in our Star Room, we’ve jumped into the wonderful world of Story Book Week, with the much-loved story Whatever Next! 🌙🐻

The children have been introduced to the story and have enjoyed creating their own problems and working together to solve them throughout the week. They’ve made their very own little bears 🐻, designed rockets 🚀, painted beautiful starry skies ✨🌌 and thought carefully about what they would take with them if they could travel into space! 🌙🪐

We’ve had a week full of exploring, creating, counting, imagining and learning through play — just the way we love it! 💛

🌈 Another wonderful week of learning at our Nursery! 🌈

Our children have been busy exploring, creating and learning through a range of exciting topics and activities across all three rooms. 💛

👮‍♀️🩺 Sun Room – People Who Help Us
Sun Room have continued their topic ‘People Who Help Us’, discovering more about the important people who help us in our community. They have been learning all about dentists, police officers, nurses and doctors, talking about the different roles they have and how they help to keep us safe and healthy. 🦷👮‍♂️👩‍⚕️

🎨💭 Moon Room – The Colour Monster
Moon Room have continued their week exploring The Colour Monster, learning all about different emotions and how we can recognise and talk about our feelings. They have been busy creating their own Colour Monsters, threading activities and sorting emotion jars. 🌈💗💙💛
It has been lovely to see the children expressing themselves and developing their emotional understanding through play.

🏴 Star Room – Discovering Staffordshire
Star Room have been discovering all about Staffordshire! They have been learning about our local area, exploring the canals, looking at the different markets in Leek and Biddulph, and finding out about the history of Staffordshire’s coal mines. ⛏️🚤

They have also been getting creative and designed their very own Staffordshire flags! 🎨🏴

✨ Every day is an opportunity to learn, explore and discover something new! ✨

🚒👮‍♀️🐾 People Who Help Us! 🐾👮‍♂️🚑

Our youngest explorers in the Sun Room have had a wonderful week learning all about the special people who help us in our community! 🌟

We’ve been discovering all about firefighters, police officers and vets, exploring a variety of exciting tuff trays and getting involved in lots of hands-on, imaginative play. 🧑‍🚒🚓🩺

The children especially enjoyed taking on the role of vets and caring for some poorly animals, giving them lots of love and attention to help them feel better! 🐶🐱💕

What a busy week of exploring, learning and having fun! 🌈✨

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦❤️ Our ‘My Family’ Topic ❤️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We’ve had a wonderful time exploring the special people who make up our families! 🥰 Throughout our ‘My Family’ topic, the children have been learning, creating, imagining and sharing their own experiences through lots of exciting activities.

☀️ Sun Room have been discovering and exploring family-themed tuff trays, including our family tree activities. They used their own little handprints to create beautiful family trees, making their creations extra special! 🌳🖐️

🌙 Moon Room have been getting creative with playdough and tool cutters to make their own families. They’ve looked closely at their family photographs and had a go at drawing what they could see. They’ve also enjoyed exploring our tuff trays using the dolls’ house and little people, creating their own family stories and adventures. 🏡👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

⭐ Star Room have been using their wonderful imaginations in our role-play area, recreating some of the jobs and routines that their mummies, daddies and grown-ups do at home. They’ve also used lolly sticks to build houses and then drawn their families inside, as well as painting their very own family trees. 🎨🏠🌳

It’s been lovely to see the children talking about the people who are important to them, sharing their experiences and developing their understanding of what makes each family unique. ❤️

Every family is special, and every family is different — and that’s what makes them wonderful! 🥰✨

🌟 WHAT A FANTASTIC FIRST WEEK BACK! 🌟

What a wonderful week we’ve had settling back into nursery and getting stuck into our new topic — ✨ ALL ABOUT ME! ✨

This week we’ve been learning all about ourselves, our bodies, our families, what makes us special and what makes us unique. 💕

🎨 Just look at the beautiful portraits our Moon Room have created! 🖌️✨ We’ve been looking carefully at our features and having lots of fun creating our very own self-portraits. We think they’ve done an AMAZING job! 😍

Across all of our rooms, the children have been busy exploring, creating, talking, singing and learning through lots of exciting ‘All About Me’ activities. 🌈👧🏼👦🏻

It’s been so lovely seeing everyone back, full of smiles, excitement and ready for another fun-filled term! 💗

🌈✨ Welcome Back to Nursery! ✨🌈

We hope everyone has had a wonderful, fun-filled summer holiday! ☀️We are so excited to welcome all of our children and families back to nursery as we begin a brand new term. 💛

Our first topic is “All About Me” 👧👦 A lovely opportunity for the children to talk about themselves, their families, their likes and dislikes, what makes them special, and all the wonderful things that make us unique! 🌟

During the first few weeks, we’ll also be focusing on helping everyone settle back into nursery life and routines, reconnecting with friends, building confidence and making sure everyone feels happy, safe and ready to learn and play. 🥰
