The safest order for reacting-mass calculations is:

1. Convert the given information into moles.
2. Use the balanced-equation ratio.
3. Convert the moles into the required answer.

If you apply the ratio directly to the masses, the calculation will usually go wrong.

Save this as part of your Year 12 revision before starting Year 13.

Organic mechanisms do not disappear in Year 13.

If the Year 12 mechanisms never fully made sense, revisiting them now will make the second year of A Level Chemistry much easier.

Remember: a curly arrow must begin where the electron pair is currently located.
