🎄Christmas card reminder 🎄

As you all are aware the festive jumpers ready for the Christmas card will be starting from Saturday 12th November till Saturday 26th November. 🤶

We had a lovely turn out last year and are hoping that everyone joins in again this year.

Students are permitted to wear anything festive related eg. Jumpers, costumes, tinsel, antlers etc.

🏅Award Ceremony 2022 🏅

What an amazing time we had at this years award ceremony. It was great to see so many of our students and their families.

Not only did we celebrate our students but we also celebrated Meena, she received her 21 years service award and we couldn’t be more happy for her. 2022 also marks Louise and Mehdi’s 25 years service being Kumon Instructors and it was great hearing their story from opening up within the Bicester Sports Centre all the way to running 5 centres!!

Parents were involved during the ceremony- they were given a sample of Maths and English questions - they were up again the clock…did they do it?

Professional photos were taken throughout the day and we cannot thank Gong Xi enough for this time capturing these memorable moments.

We hope you all had a lovely day, well done to those who received an award. Keep working hard and who knows, you might be joining us next year ☺️

It’s back to school for a lot of our students this week and we just wanted to wish you all well in your new school year.

Sats results: Standards slip in Year 6 tests

SATs….results are in, how did your children do this year?

“59% of children achieved the expected level which is down from 65% in 2019”.

The Government want at least 90% of children to reach the expected standard grades by 2030…but how are they going to do that? What are schools going to do to achieve this?

🇺🇦 Update 🇺🇦

We have had an incredible response to us offering free scholarship places to the children of Ukraine who had had to flee their homes.

I can confirm that all places have been filled within our Bicester Centre BUT we do have 4 places left within our Oxford Botley Centre. These places must be filled by the end of June.

Our students have settled in very well which is so lovely to see.

Should we be able to offer more places we will be in touch.

Did you know, children lose up to 40% of the gains they have made over the school year while on summer break, according to a new study?

The 'summer slide', or 'summer learning loss', reversing some of the progress students have made over the year, is a well-known effect of the summer holidays.

We hear you. Children do need a break over the summer and those fun summer weeks are precious but just 10 minutes of work each day would help them to keep moving forward and eliminate any risk of learning loss. We are experts at setting work which is at the right level so that it’s not a chore but is enjoyable and motivating.

Our classes continue throughout most of the summer holidays and children can join us on our online classes from anywhere in the world.
