During Year 7 Maths, Eardley students explored the world of algebra. One student shared they really enjoyed learning algebra at Beths because the way it’s taught makes tricky concepts much easier to understand. It’s fantastic to hear that they’re finding maths fun and exciting!
Our Year 11 Geology students had a memorable experience at Culver Cliff, Isle of Wight braving the windy and rainy weather as they worked on their field sketches.

On Saturday, we hosted our Year 7 Sport Morning, offering a fantastic opportunity for students to learn more about sports at Beths, including our inter-school teams. It was a wonderful occasion for students to meet some of their peers while participating in football, rugby, and basketball 🏈⚽️🏀

Our Year 10 students had an exciting day diving into the world of finance during our Stock Market-themed Enterprise Day! 💹 They learned about investing, market trends, and the importance of strategic decision-making. A fantastic experience in teamwork and financial literacy!

• A further 12 students achieved 7 grade 9s in their GCSEs
• 35 students who achieved at least 5 grade 9s.

⭐️Dinu who achieved 4 A*s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics and is going to Imperial College London to read Computer Science (AI and Machine Learning).
⭐️Alex who achieved 4 A*s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and is going to the University College London to read Computer Science.
Alongside this, five students intend to study medicine: Jebosa at the University of Nottingham, Beth at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, Mridul at the University of Aberdeen, Sheron at King's College London and Daniel reading veterinary medicine at the University of London.

Dr. Neil Gostling, a former Beths student and now an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton, recently visited to speak with our Year 12 Biology students. As an expert in Evolution and Palaeobiology, Dr. Gostling shared insights from his research at the university and provided an inside look into the life of a university biology student. His talk offered our students a unique perspective on pursuing a career in the biological sciences and highlighted the exciting opportunities that await them in higher education.
When Science and Music Meet🎶🧪
During STEM club, students made a jar xylophone! They tested how changing the volume of water in a jar can impact the pitch of the sound it makes. It was a fun and educational experiment that combined principles of physics and music, demonstrating the fascinating ways in which different fields of science can intersect.
Bromley Healthcare are launching a new public health website for 11-19 year olds in Bexley and Bromley, designed with input from young people. Students helped with design, content creation, and fact-checking, ensuring the site addresses key health topics effectively.

Our new Sixth Form building update!
On July 6th, Beths Art Department held their annual Art Exhibition at Freemantle Hall. It was a wonderful opportunity for students across all year groups to show off and celebrate all their hard work over the year.
Our student led Multicultural Committee held their annual showcase. It was a wonderful night filled with singing, dancing, spoken word, a fashion show, and international food and drinks to celebrate the diversity within our community! All proceeds raised from the event went to Save the Children and Sickle Cell UK. Well done to all those involved for such a wonderful event!

Our Year 9 students put on their business hats and dived into the world of entrepreneurship! They designed, created, marketed and pitched their very own soaps. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and business acumen🧼✨

Last week, we hosted our annual Careers Fair. It was a wonderful opportunity for our scholars to explore diverse career paths, including university options, apprenticeships, vocational training, and much more! Our scholars gained insight into different professions and acquired the knowledge needed to confidently pursue their career aspirations.
The Beths Multicultural Committee humbly invites you to our annual Cultural Showcase, this Friday, 19th July 2024, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
The Beths Multicultural Committee is a student-led group that aims to promote cultural cohesion within our school community. The Showcase aims to celebrate culture and diversity at Beths through performances, cultural food, music, clothing, and much more. Money raised will be donated to Save the Children and the Sickle Cell Society.

Year 8 Camp update- students are throughly enjoying the camping experience! Yesterday students even had the opportunity to watch the England game!🏴 Despite the result, students were elated to have been able to watch it together as a camp!
