Student voice is incredibly important to us, as we use the feedback from our students to help shape and improve our school environment.

This summer, we've invested in a range of exciting projects across the site, including our brand-new all-weather sports pitches and a major IT refresh featuring four new IT suites and significant system upgrades.

But that's not all...

Acting on feedback from students, we've also made a number of improvements to our buildings and learning spaces ready for September:

✅ A Block has been refreshed, including with new flooring throughout.
✅ B Block toilets have been completely replaced, including a redesign of the space to make students feel more comfortable.
✅ Music and Business classrooms have been updated, along with improvements to a number of other teaching spaces across the school.

We're committed to creating the very best environment for our students to learn, thrive and succeed, and these developments are just one example of how student feedback helps to drive positive change.

As part of our ongoing programme of improvements across the school, our IT team has been hard at work behind the scenes carrying out a major technology refresh.

Over the summer holidays, we've installed four brand new IT suites and completed a range of upgrades to our systems and infrastructure. These improvements will help deliver enhanced performance, greater reliability, and an even better learning experience for our students.

We can't wait to welcome students back and see them making the most of these fantastic new facilities!

It's been a really busy Summer holiday period at school, with lots of exciting improvement projects taking place across the site! Over the Summer we have continued to develop our facilities to provide the very best learning environment for our students.

One of the major projects completed this summer is our brand new all-weather sports pitches! ⚽🏀🏐

We can't wait to see students making the most of our new netball courts, basketball and 7v7 football pitch when they return. We're sure these fantastic new facilities will be enjoyed by many of our students.

The Bewdley School is celebrating GCSE and BTEC results, recognising the hard work, determination and resilience shown by students throughout their five-year journey.

Students and staff came together today to celebrate the culmination of years of dedication, with many students achieving top grades across a wide range of subjects. The results reflect not only academic success but also the commitment and perseverance demonstrated by this year group throughout their time at the school.

Deputy Headteacher Catherine McDougall said
"Today is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students. These results are the reward for five years of hard work, commitment and determination. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and the way they have approached their studies and wider school life. Behind every set of results is a story of effort, resilience and personal growth. I would like to thank our dedicated staff, supportive families and governors who have played such an important role in helping our young people achieve their potential."

For many, that next step will be continuing their studies at Bewdley Sixth Form, where they will build on their successes and prepare for university, employment and future careers. Others will be progressing to vocational programmes, specialist college courses or apprenticeships, pursuing pathways aligned with their talents, interests and aspirations.

"We are delighted to be welcoming so many of today's successful students into Bewdley Sixth Form. They have laid excellent foundations during their time at The Bewdley School, and we look forward to supporting them as they take the next step towards their future ambitions."

As students celebrate with friends, family and staff, The Bewdley School extends its congratulations to every member of the year group and wishes them every success as they embark on the next exciting chapter.

Please note that only students will be permitted to enter the collection area.

Our Sixth Form and Careers team will be on hand throughout the morning to provide support and guidance with next steps, whether that be Sixth Form, College, apprenticeships, employment opportunities or other pathways.

Due to ongoing work on our new sports surfaces, there will be no access to, or through, the old Tennis Courts. Please enter through the new main entrance.

📅 With the start of the new term now less than a month away, we're busy making final preparations for September.

We're delighted to share that one of our coach providers has updated its services to reflect our new school day timings. The revised 292S and S15 timetables will come into effect from September.

What a fantastic way to end another musical term

Congratulations to all of our talented students and dedicated staff who helped make this year's End of Term Concert such a wonderful success. Held on the very last morning of the summer term, the concert was a brilliant celebration of the incredible musical achievements and progress made throughout the year.

From ensembles and solo performances to group pieces, the showcase highlighted the hard work, commitment and creativity of our students across all year groups. Thank you to everyone who performed, supported, organised and attended. It was a fitting finale to another busy and successful year of music at The Bewdley School, and a wonderful reminder of the talent within our school community.
