🧸 An Extra Layer of Safety at Bewdley Bears Daycare

The safety and wellbeing of every child in my care is, and always will be, my highest priority. That’s why I’ve recently added a LifeVac anti-choking device to my emergency equipment. As a registered childminder, I am fully trained in paediatric first aid and will always follow the recognised UK choking first aid procedures first. The LifeVac is not a replacement for first aid, it is an additional emergency device that would only ever be used if standard choking first aid had been unsuccessful or could not be carried out while waiting for emergency services.

I sincerely hope I never have to use it. However, I believe that being as prepared as possible is part of providing the safest environment I can for the children in my care.

I’d rather have it and never need it than need it and not have it ❤️

Our Bewdley Bears Daycare Mascot 💜

I am so excited to introduce the newest member of our daycare family.. Meet Biscuit 🧸

Biscuit is much more than a teddy bear. He is a friendly companion who will help our children learn through play, build confidence, encourage independence and support emotional wellbeing. Every day, Biscuit will join us for story time, songs, imaginative play and everyday routines. Children will help him get dressed, help change his nappy, fasten the poppers on his little purple vest, brush his teeth, care for him, read stories and even encourage him as he learns to use the potty! 🚽🪥🧼🍼

Biscuit will also help us celebrate life’s exciting moments and support children through times of change. Whether it’s a first day at daycare, a new baby in the family, a birthday, a holiday, moving house, starting school or simply having a day where someone needs an extra cuddle, Biscuit will always be there 🥰

We’re also launching Biscuit’s Adventures 🧳 Families are invited to take Biscuit along on holidays, day trips, visits to grandparents, woodland walks, beach days or even cosy afternoons at home. We’d love you to share a photo and a little story so we can add it to Biscuit’s Adventure Book, where the children can enjoy looking back on all of his wonderful adventures 🌳🏖️✈️🪴📚

At Bewdley Bears Daycare, I believe every child deserves to feel seen, heard and supported. Through kindness, imagination and learning through play, I hope Biscuit becomes a treasured friend who helps create happy memories that last a lifetime 🐻

💛 A little update for our lovely families 💛

To everyone who’s been in touch asking about upcoming availability, thank you so much for your patience!

We promise we haven’t forgotten anyone 👀🥰
It’s just been a very busy time behind the scenes as we’ve been getting our third team member up and running 🧸✨

We’re absolutely on the case, and we’ll be getting back to everyone by the end of this week.

Thank you very much to all those who shared our job advertisement post, much appreciated 🥰 Also thank you to those who showed an interest in the self-employed Childminding Assistant roles at Bear’s Daycare and for taking the time to apply. Due to an overwhelming number of applications, we carried out interviews yesterday and have now selected a candidate to move forward for the full-time position. This candidate is currently progressing through the required checks, which is an ongoing process.

We have also identified a successful candidate for the part-time role. As a result, we will not be taking any further interviews or considering additional applications for either position at this time.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who applied for their interest, time, and effort. We wish you all the very best in your future roles and careers within childcare.

Everyone single one of our 8 Bear Cubs and their wonderful families (plus myself and Donna) have donated a shoebox for children less fortunate. Tomorrow we’ll be delivering all 10 boxes with our Friday cuties 🥰 Forever proud of what we achieve together.. what a great team Bears Daycare 🐻❤️
