We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all staff who have supported our students throughout their studies. Particular congratulations go to the Mathematics and Film Studies departments, where every student achieved an A grade or above. Students studying Digital Media also delivered an exceptional set of results, reflecting their commitment and the high-quality support they received.

In response to recent meningitis outbreaks the UK Government has announced a one-off NHS Meningitis B vaccination programme to protect young people at the highest immediate risk of meningococcal group B disease.

This offer is available to those who:
• Have a date of birth between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 (Year 13 age group in the academic year 2025 to 2026)
• Are born on or after 21 July 2001 who will either be attending university as undergraduates for the first time in Autumn 2026
• Are starting at some further education colleges for the first time in Autumn 2026 and living at further education accommodation

What is Men B?
Meningococcal B can cause serious, life-threatening problems including inflammation of the lining of the brain and sepsis (blood poisoning). This can lead to life-changing disabilities such as amputations, hearing loss and brain damage, and in some cases can prove fatal.
The bacteria that cause MenB disease can be spread through close contact with an infected person. This can be through kissing, sharing drinks or vapes, or prolonged close contact with the person for long periods of time, such as living in the same home.

Men B vaccination
The Men B vaccine helps protect against meningococcal group B bacteria that can cause serious illnesses, including meningitis and sepsis.
Vaccination is available to those who are eligible from 20th July through participating community pharmacies.
Two doses are required, spaced a minimum of 4 weeks (28 days) apart. The whole process takes around 6 weeks to complete, as it takes an additional two weeks after the second dose for maximum immunity to build. The time-limited program is running throughout the summer and autumn. First doses are being offered until 31 December 2026 and second doses up to 31 March 2027.

Appointments can be booked via the link below:

Hello from Mexico! We had a great day yesterday visiting a Mayan temple and made some great friends from another school in New Zealand.

We are now leaving the jungle behind and heading to our dive site. It's an 8-hour coach journey today, and we are looking forward to the next part of the adventure!

Operation Wallacea day 2 update

An early start today, with everyone up at 5:00 a.m. to experience the rainforest at dawn!

Mr Morris's group spent the morning bird mist netting and recorded an impressive 18 different bird species, including several beautiful hummingbirds.

Meanwhile, Mrs Leach's group headed out on a mammal hunt, searching for signs of larger mammals by tracking their footprints. They also had the opportunity to visit a small Mayan temple during their expedition.

It has been another fantastic morning of wildlife encounters and exploration, with both groups enjoying unforgettable experiences in the rainforest.
