🍽️ Nursery Lunches Coming to Beverley Manor Nursery School

We are pleased to share that from September 2026, Beverley Manor Nursery School will be providing lunches for children attending nursery.

Some children will be eligible for free lunches and we are also exploring the possibility of offering a paid lunch option for families who would like their child to stay for lunch.

To help us plan for September, we would like to gauge levels of interest from families who may wish to purchase nursery lunches.

If this is something you would be interested in, please contact the nursery office to register your interest. There is no commitment at this stage. We are simply gathering information to help us plan the service and understand potential demand.

Fareshare delivery and new starter visits from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.

📸 Wednesday
Our school photographer will be in nursery throughout the day. If you would like a sibling photograph, please arrive between 8.30am and 9.00am. Sibling photographs will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

🥫 Eco Pantry
Our Eco Pantry remains open daily for Beverley Manor families.

Sharing Stories Together

Some of the most important learning begins with a book.

Stories help children develop language, imagination, listening skills and an understanding of the world around them. They also provide opportunities for children to share ideas, build relationships and enjoy experiences together.

At Beverley Manor Nursery School, books are woven throughout our curriculum and daily routines. We want every child to develop confidence as a communicator and a lifelong love of reading.

There is something very special about seeing children choose to share a story together.

Deeply Engaged in Learning

Some of the most powerful learning takes place when children become completely absorbed in what they are doing.

When children are given time, space and carefully chosen resources, they begin to investigate, question, imagine and develop their own ideas. These moments of deep engagement support concentration, problem solving, creativity and communication whilst fostering a genuine love of learning.

At Beverley Manor Nursery School, we place great value on following children's interests and creating environments that encourage curiosity, exploration and discovery.

It is always a pleasure to see children so immersed in their learning.

🌿 What's On This Week 🌿

Although we have a quieter week ahead, there will still be plenty of opportunities for children to learn, explore and discover through play. We will be continuing our learning linked to our core texts, alongside experiences that develop children's communication, language, mathematical thinking, creativity and understanding of the world. Our learning environments will continue to evolve in response to children's interests, ideas and curiosity, both indoors and outdoors.

At Beverley Manor Nursery School, we know that some of the most valuable learning happens during everyday moments as children build friendships, solve problems, develop new skills and follow their own interests through play.

As many of our school leavers have now begun their transition visits, we recognise that this can be an exciting time for children and families. If you have any questions or would like support as your child prepares for school, please speak to your child's key teacher. We are here to help.

Finally, a reminder that the weather can be very changeable at this time of year. Please ensure that sun cream is applied before your child arrives at nursery, as even brief periods of strong sunshine can be damaging to young skin. Please also ensure children bring a suitable coat so that they are prepared for whatever the weather may bring.

The transformation of our former gravel pit into a huge new sandpit is well underway!

The children played an important role in the project, helping staff to dig, shovel and wheelbarrow gravel across to the allotment area where it will be reused to improve our pathways. They worked incredibly hard and showed fantastic teamwork throughout.

Even with lots of helping hands, there was still a mammoth task ahead. A huge thank you to Mrs Armitage and her wonderfully helpful nephew Josh, who spent one of the hottest day of the year so far finishing the job and preparing the area ready for its exciting new purpose.

When the sand finally arrived, the children's excitement was impossible to contain! They couldn't wait to get started, helping to empty the giant bags before digging, scooping, transporting and, of course, burying themselves in the sand.

We have a feeling our new sandpit is going to be very popular indeed!

As part of our Nourish to Flourish Week, children have been learning about the importance of looking after their teeth.

Through hands on activities and role play, the children explored effective toothbrushing techniques and discussed how we can keep our teeth and gums healthy. They talked about healthy food choices, why regular toothbrushing is important and how good oral health helps us to stay well.

These practical experiences help children develop healthy habits for life while building their confidence, communication skills and understanding of how to care for themselves.
