The children in 1/2W have been starting their afternoons with quiet reading and Yoga. Thank you to the Year 3/4 helpers.

Fabulous work created by Emmy in 1/2 HR! 🌟 After reading about collages in her school reading book, Emmy took the initiative to create her own collage. She showed great enthusiasm for learning and used her creativity to put her new knowledge into practice. Well done Emmy!

1/2 HR have been learning about designers Charles Eames and Ray Eames. Inspired by their work, the children designed and created their own chairs using plasticine. The children showed fantastic creativity and problem-solving skills as they tested and adapted their designs to make sure their chairs could stand independently. Well done, everyone! 👏✨

A wonderful day in 1/2W!

Fabulous work created by Emmy in 1/2 HR! She has been busy crafting at home and has made her own version of our classroom. Her attention to detail is incredible, and she has clearly taken great pride in her work. We were so impressed by the care and effort she has put into her creation. Well done, Emmy!

The children in 1/2W have worked very hard this week so Mr W let them enjoy some games on the school field.

3/4W had a wonderful school trip to Skipsea today to work on an Iron Age archaeological dig with lecturers and students from the University of York. During the excavations, two of our children dug up cow teeth and flint from a blade. Our artefacts have been collected by the university for further analysis- what an exciting day!

In science this week, FH were dissecting tulips in order to deepen their understanding of the parts of a plant and their jobs🌷 🐝

On Friday, 1/2 HR created their own artwork in the style of Piet Mondrian, using primary colours, straight lines and geometric shapes to replicate his abstract style.
