This week our Daffodils have been exploring lots of different autumnal sensory trays where they have had the opportunity the expand their physical development, communication and language development and their understanding of the world.
We've explored a apple crumble tray this week where the children were encourage to use a variety of scoops cups and bowls to fill and empty, this was a great way for them to develop their hand eye co-ordination. We've also enjoyed cinnamon gloop this week the children enjoyed this they got stuck straight in what a great way to explore different textures with cinnamon sticks add, apples and a variety of autumnal picture so our different could see the season changed happening around us, what a great messy weeks we've had.

Our little sunflowers have been walking around the big garden to explore nature. The children observe the trees, the leaves, ghe sticks. The children collect the natural resources to create a lovely picture.
This activity helps the children with their understanding the world development and fine motor skills.

This week the Buttercups have been using a variety of different tools that where hand picked from the outside garden such as conkers, sticks and leaves. The children used these objects to dip them into the paints and make marks with them. This activity helps promote speech and language development.

The Bluebells have been exploring what patterns they can make using different things they found outside. They found some conquers, some leaves and some sticks and they have been painting them and printing them on the paper to see what patterns and marks they can create. One child said 'it's making stripes!' as she printed the stick on the paper. This activity supports the children's expressive art and design development aswell as our curriculum.

The Roses have been exploring the changing season of summer to autumn this week! We explored an autumn tray with pictures of autumn such as leaves and mud. We also had conkers, conker shells, leaves, acorns and pine cones. The children said "this is a conker shell, this side is spikey and this is smooth". We talked about the changing weather which supports understanding of the world and went for a nature walk in the garden where we saw two conkers fall from the tree. These activities also supported the children's learning from the curriculum.

Buttercups have had a great time at the disco!! The children enjoyed having a boogie to the music whilst shaking their pom poms and popping the bubbles!! This activity helped the children develop their personal, social and emotional skills and their Physical development!!

Our little sunflowers have been exploring the mixture of oats with autumn natural resources. The children are able to feel the textures of the leaves and they have been making marks on the oats with the help of natural sticks from our garden.
This activity helps the children to share and with their social skills development as well as their fine motor skills.

The rose room children have been experimenting with food colouring and some pipettes! The children used their fine and gross motor skills to stick cotton pads onto paper and then use the pipettes to drip coloured water into the pads, making some pictures of autumnal trees! In this activity the children have enhanced their physical development, their communication and language, talking about the different colours they can see in the trees, and their expressive arts and design!

The Bluebells children have really enjoyed looking at the superwoman book, the children talked about the worm and how big it is and one child said they found the frog in the book. Also the children have talked about how the worm has super powers. This activity helps support the children's mathematical language about lengths and how big the animals where. The children also talked about the different habitats and where the animals live too. This activity supports the children's communication and language as they were talking to their friends, and supports maths and understanding of the world.

This week our little Daffodils have started to explore different autumnal activities, we have had great fun exploring our autumn sensory tray were the children found lots of different items to awaken the senses. we have crunched the crispy leaves and paper explored the ridges of a pinecone and rolled the autumnal coloured balls during this activity the np was using different descriptive words to explain the feel ,smell and colour to the children. By taking part in the activity the children will be developing their communication and language development aswell as their social skills and their understanding of the world.

It's been a busy week at Educare, here's what the children have been up too!! 😀🍂🍁🍄
This week we have had lots of little Daffodils joining the room, we are all super excited to see these children settle into the room and watch them grow. Our new Daffodils have been exploring the room and have started to develop bonds with the staff within the room, this will help development their personal, social and emotional development!!
This week in the Buttercup room we have been super creative! The children have been using pinecones and leaves as tools to make marks with a variety of different coloured paints. This activity promotes children's expressive arts and design, physical development and personal, social and emotional development!!
The Rose's have been busy this week! We have explored autumn playdough, painting autumn trees with falling orange leaves and making our own bike obstacle course using cones, in spirit of the Cycling event taking place in Hull and ending on the Beverley Westwood! The children loved exploring the Autumn, orange playdough with green and orange leaves alongside orange glitter. We talked about how the weather has been changing and summer is nearly over. We had lots of fun painting on Thursday, the children used paint brushes, sponges and their fingers to paint autumn trees. These activities support children with fine motor skills and understanding of the world with the changing of seasons!!
Our little sunflowers have been exploring the gloop activity; the children are adding autumn colours to the tray. As part of our autumn curriculum the children are visually experiencing the changes that the colours make when they are mixed. We are using brown and orange, the children are making marks with the pine corns. This activity helps the children with their fine motor skills, social, expressive a design development!!
The Bluebell children have been exploring an Autumn tray as part of our curriculum, we have had pumpkins to look at and Autumn colours on leaves and acorns, we compared the sizes of the items looking at how big or small and felt how light or heavy they were, using our hands. The children loved all the different colour and sizes of the pumpkins this helps the children develop their understanding of the world, maths and art and design!!

This week in the Buttercups we have been playing games to find family members in the house by asking questions such as "can you find someone doing some washing" and 'can you find the baby" which helps the children to learn different positional values. The children have also been drawing their faces in the reflection of the framed mirrors whilst looking at their friends/own features which helps to develop the children's understanding of the world.

This week in Bluebells we have been exploring an animal habitat tray, we have learned which animals live on the farm, which animals live in water and which live in the jungle. The children recognised the animals and where they live. They also enjoyed exploring the different textures in the tray such as the moss, mud, shells, stones and leaves. From this activity we have developed our knowledge of understanding the world.

This week in rose room we have been feeling autumnal and we have been getting creative making autumn animals! We have been sticking and making hedgehogs, acorns and autumn leaves pictures! We have talked about seeing conkers and we have talked about the colours we have seen, This has enhanced our understanding of the world and our expressive arts and design.

This week the sunflowers have been learning about zoo animals.
We have been learning about the different sounds each zoo animal makes. We have also been doing the actions of each animals.
This encourages the children's speech and language and their personal, social and emotional development.

This week at Educare we have had a lot of fun!

In the buttercup room, we have been matching the colour numbers and letters to the correct coloured bucket in our water tray. This activity helps recognise ours colours, numbers and letters, it also helps with our fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, literacy and mathematics.

Our little sunflowers have been taking part of an activity involving sign language. We looked at different family pictures, a picture of a baby. We have learnt how to sign 'hello, bye, love'. The nursery practitioner encourages the children to get involved with the signs and the words. The children love this activity as they are interacting and and smiling. This activity promotes the children communication and language as well and understanding the world development.

This week the rose room children have been painting in the garden, using different sized leaves and sticks. We have used words such as big, small, crunchy and soft. The children then dipped them in paint and then printed and spread the paint using the leaves to make marks. This enhances our communication and language, our expressive arts and design and our understanding of the world

The Bluebell children have been enjoying using a construction tray, we made a road in the middle and filled the four corners with different materials one was rice and beans, one was stones one was spaghetti and the last one was pasta, they enjoyed using their hands to explore the different textures exploring the different feels

This week at Educare!!!
The children in the sunflower room have been at the local library. The children have enjoyed the sensory room, the children are observing the pictures of the sea animals. The children are encouraged to use their words to say what they can see. Lots of 'fish'! We have also been reading books; the children are invited to take a book of their choice. This trip experience has helped the children with their understanding the world, social emotional and communication, language development. The Bluebell children have been busy learning about frogs and how they turn from a tadpole into a frog, we had a tray of coloured rice and some pretend Lillie pads and insects. The children found the frogspawn and the tadpoles, and they matched them up with the pictures in the book. They enjoyed making the frogs jump from the grass to the water and across the lily pads. They liked the texture of the rice and the sound it made on the tray when the sprinkled it from their hands, this helps the children investigate the world around us and explore different textures with their friends.
Buttercups have been loving racing the wooden cars up and down the room!! "Ready, steady goo!!" Some children yell, racing each other. "So fast" Child M exclaims "go go go"!! This activity helps the children develop their physical and personal social and emotional skills.
The rose room children have been out on a trip to the library, museum and art gallery! While we walked, we talked about the different shapes we could see, identifying the circle signs, the square lights on the nursery fence, rectangle doors and triangle roofs! Once we got to the library, we chose some new books to read before we went to the museum. There we saw fossils, old swords and some sea creatures! We then got artistic and tried making our own artwork, we particularly enjoyed the massive painting of cows, where we then tried to draw it ourselves! During this trip we have learned about road safety, enhancing our communication and language, our expressive arts and design, and our understanding of the world and our local community! The children in the sunflower room have been enjoying a tea party for yorkshire day. The children have been pretending to drink tea and eat buscuits from an exclusive tea set. This activity helps the children with their social interaction, communication and undestanding the world development.

The buttercups have been making their own pudding for lunch!! The children worked together adding some rice crispies into the yummy melted chocolate, before mixing up the mixture ready to put into the bun cases, to eat later, delicious!! We've used lots of discriptive language throughout this actvity like "add, more, its full now" and children showed excelent paitence waiting for their turn The buttercups have enhanced their mathmatical, physical development, person, social and emotional skills through this actvity.

Today the rose room children have been having a Yorkshire tea party for Yorkshire day! we have been using tea cups, saucers, water, teabags and some sugar (flour). The children talked about who in their family drinks tea, and what each other would like in their tea. We then role played a tea shop, using different voices while speaking to each other. We then painted our own pictures of a yorkshire rose! This activity has enhanced our understanding of the world the communication and language, our physical development and our expressive arts and design.

In the Bluebell room we have been learning all about bees, as part of one of the childrens next steps we have explored the stripey black and yellow sand, we used the numbered bees and recognised several numbers. And the children commented, saying "bees live in hives" and "bees make honey". We also read and looked at the bee book and learned bees dance! This activity has developed our maths skills, our knowledge of understanding the world and our literacy develpment.

What an amazing first two weeks we've had at Holiday Club! 🌞🎉

Week 1 – Movie Week 🎬🍿
We kicked things off with a week full of movie-inspired fun! The children got stuck into messy Lion King grub gloop, carried out exciting Lilo & Stitch experiments, created their own superhero masks, and enjoyed a fantastic cinema trip to round off the week. There were plenty of smiles, lots of creativity, and memories to last a lifetime!

Week 2 – Animal Week 🐧🦆🐄
Our animal adventures have been just as exciting! We enjoyed a lovely walk to the beck to feed the ducks and fish, had lots of fun taking part in our penguin slip and slide, and finished the week with a fantastic visit to Honeysuckle Farm, where the children loved meeting and learning about all the animals.

We can't wait to see what adventures the rest of the summer holidays have in store! 💛🌈

We have had another fun and busy week learning at Educare Nursery!! 😃🎨☀️🌳
The Buttercups have been enjoying colouring in some summer pictures, the children choose different coloured pencils and crayons to colour in the different images on the paper, whilst identifying what they see, "ta dahh" they explain once they’ve finished!!!! This activity helps the children develop their physical, literacy and expressive art & design skills!!
This week in the rose room, we have been exploring the ocean in a tray of gloop, talking about what animals live in the sea and using phrases such as 'sticky, slimy, cold'. We have also been using a variety of crafts, including string, glue, playdough and tape to make houses for the little pigs! The children showed great concentration as they tied the string around the sticks. These activities have enhanced our understanding of the world; our communication and language skills.
The sunflower room children have been learning about the environment and the different things we can find in the nature!! The children are exploring the garden, and they are very excited when they find sticks. The children are observing the animals on the wall with attention. This activity helps the children with their communication and language and their understanding the world development.
The Bluebell children requested to bath the babies in the morning, one of the children said " we need to clean the babies because they been on holiday and they all dirty " we put water and bubbles into the water tray and found some sponges and the baby bag and brought some clean nappies too, the children were very careful when washing them and they gently put them on the changing table, they used kind words such as "don't cry”, “all clean now " & " let's put a nappy on " this helps with self-care and personal, social, and emotional development.
