Queensgate Pre School

KCOM are doing an upgrade on the preschool phone line this morning (Weds). It will be down for a few minutes, scheduled for around 10.30am. If you try to call us and can’t connect, please use either Facebook messenger or email to get hold of us. We will be checking them frequently during the morning. We will post an update once the phone is back up and running.

So far this week…..

The vets was extremely busy today and lots of care taken over the pets. We also showed the children another frog which has developed over the weekend and it’s now been released back to its home pond, where we got the frogspawn from originally. All the remaining tadpoles have now also been returned to the same pond too.

All set for the Queensgate Vets! Looking forward to seeing you all again from Monday at 9am

We thought the children would love to see this little frog which has changed so much in the last couple of days. We are going to release it later and will get a video to show the children next week if we can x

We also took delivery of some live ants and an ant hill over the weekend - it was due a couple of weeks ago but they weren’t hatching due to the cold weather. The children were loving learning about ants so these should be coming into preschool next week too 🤞, but here’s just a little snippet of how they arrived and settled in. And yes, you had to pop them in the fridge for 15 mins as you were setting up their home!

Whilst it’s half term, the tadpoles have gone on their holidays too & are being super well cared for at Amie’s house. We now have at least two froglets - if you zoom in on the circles, you can see them sitting on the stones. Hopefully there will be some more to show the children next week before we need to release them back into the wild
