The majority of tutoring I do is online via Teams or FaceTime. This short video shows how I flip the camera to model how to do something e.g. setting out a maths calculation. I find this can really help a student's understanding and gives them a chance to work alongside me.

I am a qualified teacher (BA+QTS) with DBS (Update service). I have taught in a number of schools in Surrey and Sussex (class teaching and intervention). I have many years’ experience tutoring in schools and privately (including online tutoring using video software and apps). My specialisms are MATHS (KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE) and ENGLISH (KS2).

I find working with students on a 1-to-1 basis very rewarding. I have found my teaching experiences make me a better tutor and my tutoring experiences make me a better teacher!

When tutoring, I work with students at their pace using a variety of resources to support their learning. I enjoy the challenge of finding different ways to help and encourage students to make progress in areas they may find difficult or confusing and to develop their understanding. It’s so lovely to see my students grow in confidence and enthusiasm.

I offer tutoring on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (daytime and evenings). Please see my reviews and further references can be provided on request.

Starting in January 2024, I am extending my online tutoring availability to a include a Thursday evening for KS2 or KS3 English and Maths. Please message me if you are interested in taking one of my available sessions (45 minutes or 1 hour)
