A very warm welcome to all the parents and little ones who will be joining us in our Hedgehogs room soon🦔

To help welcome you both to our Gossoms End family, we’ve put together a little Welcome Pack for you to enjoy - including a special mug for you, and a cosy muzzy for your baby.

We know that starting nursery is a big step, and it can bring a mixture of excitement and nerves. Please be reassured that we are here to support you and your little one every step of the way. We will take the time to get to know your baby, their routines, likes and dislikes, and most importantly, help them feel safe, secure and loved while they are with us. We’re so looking forward to getting to know your families, watching your little ones grow and learn, and sharing all those special first moments with you🤍

Good luck to our nursery leavers who are starting school this week. 💚

🫐 Forest School adventures continue! 🐸

Our Forest School session this week was all about exploring nature, getting creative and discovering the wildlife.

The children enjoyed picking blackberries before mixing them with water to create their own natural dye for tie-dye flags. 🫐🎨 This simple activity encouraged the children to use their fine motor skills as they picked the berries and mixed their colours, while also developing their creativity and curiosity as they experimented with how the natural materials could be transformed into different shades.

We also headed over to the pond to see what we could discover! 🐸The children spotted frogs and dragonflies, giving them the opportunity to observe wildlife closely, talk about what they could see and develop their understanding of living things and their natural habitats. This helped to build language and communication skills as the children asked questions and shared their observations.

Please take a look and measure or draw our sun flowers with your children that owls 🦉 children have grown 🌻

🦉Owls children have loved the outdoors 🌱 this week and using the resources from the literacy shed🖊️. Clip boards are great for the outdoors setting up writing areas in any spaces.

All the local schools are having the opportunity to meet new friends at the berkhamsted soft play. A lovely and fun chance before September.
