The children have really embraced the story of the week, ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ 🐻 🐻🐻👩🏼and have been busy re-enacting the story in the small world area and in the ‘Three bears cottage’🏡 in our role play area.

Next week we will continue with this story and also introduce the story’The three Billy goats gruff.🐐🐐🐐🧌

Keeping warm❄️ and looking at hot habitats ☀️🍊🍍🥭🥝

This week we have enjoyed the story ‘Handa’s Surprise’ and have taken part in lots of activities around tropical fruit and hotter habitats.
The children practiced their knife and threading skills when making delicious tropical kebabs with Sharon and have enjoyed getting wrapped up warm and playing outside in the winter sunshine ☀️

Next week our focus will be the story of Goldilocks and the three bears 🐻 🐻🐻

Polar animals and weather ❄️

The weather this week fitted perfectly with our theme, it even snowed!
We have been exploring hot and cold this week, as well as finding out about polar animals. We made penguins and artic foxes, painted whales, made sparkly play dough, decorated snowflakes, smashed ice and tested what the water from the taps felt like🥶🔥.
We will continue to explore these topics next week, looking more at animals from hotter countries and lives in hotter countries.☀️

Welcome back and a very Happy New year 🥳

It has been lovely welcoming back the children and hearing about their wonderful Christmas holidays.
Over the next couple of weeks we will looking at polar animals 🐳🦭🐇🐧 and winter weather,❄️ so if your child has any books or a toy that supports these subjects and they would like to bring them in that would be great.

In the next few weeks we will be updating our social media, which unfortunately means we need to create a new page, we will keep you informed of the new page name and where you can find us also on instagram, please bear with us in this transitional period, thanks☺️

More Space 🚀and the start of Christmas 🎄…..

We continued our topic of space this week, The children engaging in lovely imaginative play using all of the new knowledge of space, the planets 🪐 and aliens 👽. Towards the end of the week, we started decorating the pre school and practicing our Christmas songs.🎶

This week at pre school we have been exploring and learning about Space, our books of the weeks were ‘Whatever next🌖🧸🚀’ and ‘Aliens love underpants’👽🛸🩲, we have had fun re-enacting the stories. And creating lots of space related things ⭐️🔭🪐🚀

This week we have celebrated Diwali🎆, making Rangoli patterns and Diva lamps🪔.
We have been talking about and exploring light and dark, with lots of fun with the torches 🔦And on Thursday and Friday we supported Children in need with dressing up and going on Pudsey bear hunt🐻
