Applications and early-bird booking are now open for the 2027 Level 1 Foundation Training in Somatic Movement Dance Therapy.
This 100-hour course begins in March 2027 and combines live online teaching with a seven-day in-person immersion in Cornwall.
The training offers a grounded and experiential introduction to somatic movement and dance therapy. We’ll explore regulation, experiential anatomy, improvisational and autogenic movement, creativity, relational practice and the foundations of safe, embodied facilitation.
Level 1 can be taken as a complete foundation course in its own right. It’s also the first stage of our three-level, 500-hour professional pathway, designed for those who want to continue towards eligibility to apply for professional registration in Somatic Movement Dance Therapy.
The in-person element is central to the training. Somatic practice is learned through the living body—in movement, relationship, shared space and carefully supported experience. For this reason, places are intentionally limited, allowing the group to remain intimate and each student to be properly seen and supported.
The early-bird fee for this professional training is £995, open until the end of November.
