Class 1 really enjoyed their first Forest Schools session of the year. The children toasted marshmallows on the fire and went on a minibeast hunt.

If your child will turn 5 between the 1st September 2024 and 31st August 2025, you can apply for a school place using the link below.

You can now apply for a school place for September 2024.

The closing date for secondary school applications is midnight on 31 October 2023.

The closing date for primary applications (those children who will be turning 5 on or between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025) and junior school applications is midnight on 15 January 2024.

The Story Train team are offering a free holiday club each Wednesday for children in the Durham Dales. 📚

***Announcing The Railway Children Holiday Club this summer for 7 - 11 years in Weardale***

Each Wednesday from July 26th to August 30th (11.30 - 1pm) The Story Train team will be running a holiday club with a free healthy lunch for Years 3 to 6, (aged 7 - 11 year olds) for primary school pupils in Weardale (Witton le Wear, Frosterley, Wolsingham, Stanhope Barrington, St John Chapel, Wearhead and Rookhope).

Over the last couple of weeks, Class 1 have designed and made their bag tags. We have worked extremely hard to cut the fabric, stitch the pieces together and add embellishments. The bag tags are now finished and we think they look incredible! 🎒🪡
