Welcome to the Autumn Term for all our new and returning families. We will be back open on Wednesday 2nd September.

Exciting News......We have now created two separate, designated areas to enhance and focus the children's learning. These areas have been named 'Pebbles' and 'Seashells' which of course reflects our local environment that the children know and enjoy exploring.

Pebbles will be for our younger children, who are aged two and three. Seashells will be for those children that are moving on to a primary school at the end of the academic year. Please log into your Tapestry account to read more about this.

A couple of reminders; Please bring your child a packed lunch if they stay for lunch on the first Wednesday back, as no school dinners will be available. If the weather continues to be hot and sunny, we would like to remind you that your child needs to come with sun cream already applied, have their own named hat, and a change of clothes in anticipation of any water/messy play. A named water bottle is also essential.

WELCOME to all our new parents, carers and children who will join Windmills Pre School during the Autumn term of 2026. We would like to remind you that our stay and play session is on Monday 24th August 10.30-11.30am. You will have an opportunity to meet other new children, parents and the Windmills team.
If you are joining us in September, then our new term starts on Wednesday 2nd September at 8.30am. More information can be found by logging into your Tapestry account (a link will be sent via email). See you soon.

As we settle into the summer holidays, we would like to take a minute to wish all of our Windmills school leavers 'Good Luck' for their transition into primary school. As part of their celebrations we spent a magical morning in the forest with Forever Wild at Heart . It was such a beautiful way to celebrate and we all enjoyed spending time together outside of the pre-school. We embraced all that the forest had to offer; the children’s imagination created endless stories under the trees, culinary delights and potions were created in the mud kitchen and forest crafts were shared. Our adventure was complete with a hot chocolate and snacks around an open fire, and relaxing in the hammocks. A truly special place and time.

Thank you to all our parents who collected early today due to the extreme heat.

With the continuing high temperatures, we feel that for the safety and wellbeing of the children, that for tomorrow, Friday 26th June, we will be open from 8.30 -1pm. Which means that you will be able to order a school dinner, or bring pack a lunch as usual.

Please continue to apply sun cream before they arrive, and bring in a change of clothes, sun hat and water bottle for lots of water play. Thank you for your support

Thank you to all our parents who collected early today due to the extreme heat. We reached 42 degrees in the garden! With the continuing Amber weather warning in place for tomorrow, Thursday 25th June, we will be open if needed from 8.30 -12 midday only. So no need for lunches, but please do suncream your child, and bring in a change of clothes, sun hat and water bottle for lots of water play. Thank you for your support

It's Hot Hot Hot!
Please be reassured that we are doing all we can to keep your child (and ourselves!) as cool as possible. We have some shaded areas in our garden and we will provide a variety of water play throughout the day.
So, please ensure that your child arrives with sun cream already applied, a sun hat, change of clothes, swim wear and a towel. Don't forget their water bottle too.
