📢 From September 2026, free school meals are expanding.

👩‍👩‍👧‍👦 All children in households on Universal Credit, regardless of income, will be eligible.

🍽️ These changes aim to give more families the support they need to ensure children get a healthy meal at school.

We have lots of Open Days scheduled for September 2027 school admissions. Please e mail or book using the QR code.

🎵📚 Read to the Beat this summer! 📚🎵

The Summer Reading Challenge 2026 launches this Saturday (4th July) in libraries across Derbyshire, encouraging children to keep reading throughout the school holidays.

This year's "Read to the Beat" theme celebrates the link between books and music, with children challenged to read six library books over the summer to earn stickers, a certificate and a medal.

It's free to take part, and there will be plenty of fun activities happening at libraries across the county during the holidays.

There was not a single child who missed school today because of the England game. Some did stay up and watch it but managed the day with resilience. Others knew they could watch the highlights at lunchtime with their friends.

We don’t want our children to miss out on these experiences so we do what we can to make sure they are still involved. It was actually amazing to share the moment with the children as many staff also needed their 😴🛏️ last night.

When Mrs Clark and the Eco Crew have a vision it becomes a reality! On Saturday, with the generous help of our wonderful community we now have a garden! We can’t wait to share what they grow.

We would like to invite all Gruffalo hunters to our first Open the Book📚

It will be on Sunday 12th July at 10am .

The Gruffalo will be read by our villagers Dan and Nikki . Thankyou to them both for volunteering 🥰 if you would like to vollunteer to read a story please get in touch ❤️
