Hi, I’m Sam, and since a very young age I’ve played drums all the way from bashing away on pots and pans in primary school to playing as part of various musical projects around the East Midlands and beyond. I cater to all styles, all abilities, and all ages of drummer, and will do my absolute best to ensure that the lessons I provide take into account where we’re starting, what our journey will lo

Want to learn at your own pace, in the comfort of your own home, on your own kit? I serve Derby, Amber Valley, and Erewash for home visits* in either half an hour or one hour sessions.

You Come to Me
Don’t have your own kit? Don’t want to annoy the neighbours? No problem. I have a fully prepared studio with an electric drum set at my home in Belper.

1/2 Hour - £15

1 Hour - £25

Got something else in mind? I am more than happy to take on anything you’re willing to suggest to make your learning suit you. Being an independent teacher, I can be as flexible as you need me and no suggestion will be too outlandish.

*I am quite happy to travel as far as you need me to go, but long journeys may mean an additional charge to cover fuel, give me a ring and we can chat about the details!

"After being left with no drum Teacher I contacted Sam to continue drum lessons for my youngest Son. From the start Sam was amazing. He has always been prompt and polite in his responses. I explained Isaac was quite shy at times, he was able to accommodate a weekend home lesson on a weekly basis. He turned up on time, was very friendly and professional. Introduced himself to Isaac and they seemed to hit it off straight away. After the lesson Sam gave me some great feedback and advice on how to improve isaacs skills. He also reassured me that if we had any issues between lessons we were able to contact Sam during these times. I’d highly recommend Sam if you or your children are wanting to start or continue drum lessons, he really does provide a top class service! Thanks Sam!"
