What a great weekend at Feile Bogside for Team McErlean! Super performances all round with lots of personal bests 👏🥳 It's great to see all the practising over the Summer is paying off for our feisers 💪

☘️ The past few days have brought back so many special memories of the 2011 All-Ireland Championships, when I was crowned U18 Girls All-Ireland Champion. 🥳

I remember it like it was yesterday. From placing 31st in 2009, to 7th in 2010, to finally achieving my dream in 2011—all while preparing for my A-Level exams. It wasn't an easy journey, but it proved that hard work, determination and believing in yourself really do pay off. 💪

The 2011 championships were also the last time An Chomhdhail's most prestigious major was known as the All-Ireland Championships before becoming the World Championships the following year.

That's why the All-Irelands will always hold a special place in my heart, and it's been so lovely to see them return as a championship in their own right once again. 🇮🇪💚

🇮🇪💫 Day 3 at the All-Ireland 💫🇮🇪

A huge well done to our beautiful U16 dancer, Miss Aoife, who proudly represented our school at her first Open Major. 💙

Preparing for the championships while also sitting her GCSEs, Aoife showed incredible commitment and determination throughout. 💪

One of our OGs who first walked through the doors of our dance school, it's been so special watching her grow into the lovely young lady and dancer she is today... even if she now towers over me! 🤣

So proud of you, Aoife! ✨

🇮🇪💫 Day 2 at the All-Ireland 💫🇮🇪

What a busy and exciting day, filled with giggles, fuelled by pizza and kept awake by coffee 🍕🤪 Walking in at 8am and walking out after midnight 🫠

Congratulations to every dancer who represented our school today—you continue to make me so proud! ✨A huge well done to our amazing U12, U13, U14 and U15 girls, along with our U12, U14 and U16 teams. We are so proud of you all! 🥰

💫 Ella – 6th place in her Hornpipe and a Championship medal in a very competitive U12 competition! 🥳

💫 Pia – 5th place in the U12 Solo Traditional Set, earning her first-ever major medal! 🥳

💫 Emilie – 4th place in the U13 Solo Traditional Set, also taking home her first major medal! 🥳

💫 Beautiful performances from Aoibheann (U13), Lilly (U14) and Iona (U15). You all danced brilliantly! 💪

I am incredibly proud of our teams, who trained tirelessly through exams, two heatwaves, and worked around summer holidays to prepare for this major.

A special congratulations to Alannah, Patrick B, Megan and Amanda-Jane, who placed 5th in the U12 Mixed 4-Hand competition. What a fantastic achievement! 🏅🏅🏅🏅

A big well done as well to our U14 Unmixed and Mixed 8-Hand teams, who performed their brand-new Morris Reel for the very first time at a major competition. Every team gave gorgeous performances, and I couldn't be prouder. 💙

Congratulations to every dancer who represented our school today—you continue to make me so proud! ✨

She earned her first ever championship recall, placing 55th out of 154 dancers — a fantastic achievement! 🏅🥳

Hard work truly pays off. She’s the definition of determination, and we’ve believed in her from Day 1. Keep shining, Erin! 💪✨🥰
