🌟 European Champion! 🥇🚴‍♀️

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Emer on becoming Junior European Cycling Champion 💪🔥

After winning silver in the Junior Omnium, Emer produced a calm and composed performance to claim the European title with a brilliant final-lap sprint. She returns from her first European Championships with an outstanding gold and silver medal.

This achievement is another milestone in what has already been a remarkable season, reflecting Emer’s dedication, hard work and commitment to excellence both on and off the bike.

Congratulations, Emer, on this incredible success. Everyone at Our Lady and St Patrick’s College, Knock is immensely proud of you and we look forward to following your continued success in the years ahead.

Congratulations to all of our Year 8 and Year 9 students who received Junior UKMT certificates. A special congratulations goes to Timi, who achieved a Gold Award and Dominic, who achieved a Bronze Award in the prestigious Junior Kangaroo follow-up competition.

Each week, our students shared their cultures through engaging presentations, traditions, history and even delicious food! 🍽️✨ Together, we’ve built friendships, broadened our understanding of the world and created a welcoming, inclusive community. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, especially our fantastic student presenters for making every session so inspiring. 👏

Our Year 8 students kicked off their day with the annual OLSPELL competition, organised by our Literacy Coordinator, Mrs Magee.

Representing their form classes, students took to the stage to put their spelling skills to the test, tackling a range of challenging words in English as well as in the languages they have studied throughout the year.

After several closely contested rounds, congratulations go to Sami, who was crowned this year’s OLSPELL Champion.

A special thank you also to Miss Deery and Mr Moran for taking part in the teachers’ challenge. Following a fiercely competitive contest, Mr Moran emerged victorious after a dramatic tie-break question.

Well done to all who participated and helped make the event such a success. 👏📚🏆 🖤💙

🎭✨ Roald Dahl magic came to life today! ✨🎭

Our Year 8 students took centre stage in the annual Roald Dahl Drama Festival, delivering fantastic performances filled with creativity, confidence and imagination. 🌟

From outstanding acting to incredible teamwork, every student should be proud of the talent and dedication they displayed throughout the event. 👏

A huge congratulations to 8.1, who impressed the judges and took home the trophy! 🏆🎉

Well done to all involved for making it such a memorable celebration of drama and storytelling. 📚🎭

Today, students from 10-5, accompanied by their Tutor Mr Begley, had the exciting opportunity to attend the Reverse Youth Town Hall at Riddel’s Warehouse in Belfast.

This event gave young people the chance to speak directly with local politicians, share their views, ask questions and discuss issues that matter most to them. Topics ranged from hopes and concerns for the future to politics, public services and decision-making processes.

It was a valuable opportunity to encourage active citizenship and help students recognise the importance of their voice in shaping the future.

Well done to 10-5 for representing our College so positively and engaging so thoughtfully throughout the event 👏
