⭐️ Rowan Kerr ⭐️
There are some achievements that mean far more than any grade, trophy or result.
We are immensely proud to celebrate our wonderful student Rowan Kerr, who has been awarded the Spirit of Youth Award at the Spirit of Northern Ireland Awards. 🏆
Those within our school community know just how remarkable Rowan is. Throughout an unimaginably difficult journey, she has shown extraordinary courage, determination and resilience. Even during months away from school while receiving treatment, Rowan remained part of life at Knock, joining her classmates remotely and continuing her studies with a determination that inspired everyone around her.
Since returning to school, Rowan has continued to approach every challenge with that same incredible strength and positivity. As she now begins another chapter of her journey, including training with the Northern Ireland Wheelchair Basketball Team, she continues to show what can be achieved through courage, character and an unwavering determination to keep moving forward.
But this award is about more than what Rowan has overcome. It is about who Rowan is… a young person whose strength, maturity and spirit have touched her friends, teachers and our entire school community.
A very special thank you to Mrs Clarke, who nominated Rowan for this award and ensured that her remarkable story received the recognition it so richly deserves. It was wonderful to capture such a special moment between Mrs Clarke and Rowan together in a photograph at the front of the school. 💙
Rowan, we could not be prouder of you and the Spirit of Youth Award could not be more fitting.
From everyone at Knock, congratulations, Rowan. The entire school is behind you. 🌟💙
