End of Year Trip 17/06/2026

End of Year Trip
This morning, the stars enjoyed a trip to ‘The Wee Playhouse’.
We walked to the bus stop and hopped on the bus down the road. The children enjoyed soft play, followed by some toast and juice before getting back on the bus for a picnic lunch at school.
A great day out to round off a wonderful year!

NATIONAL THANK A TEACHER DAY!

On National Thank a Teacher Day, I want to express thanks to all of the teaching staff in our school.

The work of educators is often measured in small moments – a word of encouragement, a carefully planned lesson, extra support when it’s needed, or simply being there for a child each day. These moments matter, and collectively they make a significant difference.

Today some of our Y6 pupils visited our teachers with a small treat to show them they are valued. Some of our team are pictured below.

We can't wait to celebrate with our Y7 pupils as they leave us to begin their next chapter!

We are so proud of the achievements of our pupils both inside and outside of school.

We want to say a massive congratulations to this amazing Year 7 pupil.

She brought her certificates and medals to show Mr Lister for her success in trampolining.

We are all so proud!

🌟🎭 Matilda Jr - What a Show! 🎭🌟

As the curtain falls on our production of Matilda Jr., I want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable experience.

Firstly, to our incredible cast – you were simply outstanding. Your talent, confidence, energy and commitment shone through in every scene, song and dance. You entertained, inspired and amazed your audiences, and you should be immensely proud of yourselves. As Principal, I could not be prouder. You represented Wheatfield Primary School with distinction and left us all in absolute awe.

To our parents and families, thank you for your unwavering support throughout the many weeks and months of rehearsals. From helping children learn lines and songs to providing lifts, costumes and encouragement, this production would not have been possible without you.

A special thank you must go to our dedicated staff team who gave so generously of their time to support rehearsals, prepare costumes and props, organise backstage arrangements and ensure everything ran smoothly. Your hard work behind the scenes often goes unseen, but it is deeply appreciated.

Finally, I would like to pay special tribute to Mrs Mills, whose vision, creativity and determination brought this production to life. Her passion for the performing arts, attention to detail and commitment to our pupils have resulted in something truly special. Thank you, Mrs Mills, for inspiring our children and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The past week has brought its challenges, but the resilience, teamwork and spirit shown by our school community has been remarkable.

As Mrs Mills said 'Even though you're little, you can do a lot!'

Well done everyone. Now time for a relaxing weekend!
