I’m a native CELTA- & DELTA-qualified teacher, and have been training people to speak English for 20 years in Spain (12 years), Japan (3 years) France, Italy, Japan and the UK. Every language has it's difficulties. In English, pronunciation has to be at the top of the list! It's true —it's hard— with it's 12 vowel sounds (or 20 sounds if you count the gliding vowels). That compares to just 5 pure vowel sounds in Spanish or Italian for example... but... I've just learnt from this guy that Cambodian has 30 vowel sounds. Wow, 30! That's tough! If I'm a parrot in my next life, I might give it a try! 🐦

I've been loving it! There have been some *breathtaking* goals and *nail-biting* matches... and great to see some of the *underdogs* doing such a great job! ⚽⚽ ⚽
Some words!...
*It's not my cup of tea* = it's not a thing that I like
*breathtaking* = very exciting, thrilling, amazing, beautiful
*nail-biting* = adjective for something that causes anxiousness (it makes sense; some people bite their nails when anxious!)
*underdog* = person or team that is expected to lose
