Scribbles Day Nursery Offical

Scribbles would like to remind all their parents that we will be closing at 3.00pm on Friday 23rd December and will remain closed until 9.00am on Wednesday 28th December and closing at 5.00pm on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th December also. The nursery will also be closed on New Years Day, Monday 2nd January 2017.

Another week of mischief from Holly the elf.

Lets take a look at what mischief Holly the elf has been up to this week in Scribbles.

***REMINDER***
Scribbles will be hosting an open day this weekend, Saturday 26th November from 10am - 1pm. Scribbles caters for children aged 6 weeks - 4 years old and our wrap around care caters for children in P1 - P7. There will be lots of fun activities including Jo Jingles and face painting. Light refreshments provided. Everyone welcome.

The children enjoyed a visit by Mark and Thomas from Belfast City Council on Wednesday 9th November. The children got to see the road sweeper cleaning up rubbish and also got a chance to sit in the road sweeper.Kirsty Torney also read the children a story and let them have a go at using the litter picker.

Two very friendly police officers, Mark and Geoff visited us on Thursday 10th November and spoke to the children about keeping safe. The children loved dressing up in police outfits and holding a baton and handcuffs. They also enjoyed sitting in the police car and pressing the buttons to put the siren and lights on.

Scribbles will be hosting an open day on Saturday 26th November at 10am-1pm. Scribbles would like to give a huge thanks to the firemen (especially Elvis :) ) from the Lisburn Road today for our visit. The children had a great time learning about fire safety and having a go at using the hose and sitting in the fire engine. The staff also enjoyed the visit as they got to dress up, use the hose and also get a fireman's lift :)

Scribbles November theme looks at `people who help us`. This is a great time to discuss stranger danger and what we should do in an emergency. To help cover this topic the children will get a visit from the N.I fire and rescue service and the police. These visits take place on the 7th and 10th November. The children will have a short talk and then get the opportunity to try on uniforms, sit in emergency vehicles and sound the sirens. We will also be getting a visit from the Belfast city council on the 9th November.

Lets not forget Children in need, Friday 18th November. Scribbles will be having a PJ day for staff and children, there will also be some tasty treats to purchase. So lets dig deep and raise lots of money for a fantastic cause.

Photographer James Flood from Whitehall studios will be in Scribbles on 29th November. Please remember to sign your permission slip. Any children who don`t attend Scribbles on this day can be given a time slot to come and have their photograph taken.
