What a great morning we had with Wee Critters!!!.... ❤️

It is with great sadness that we share the news that our founder Kathleen McKee has sadly passed.

Kathleen created this playgroup with so much love, care, and dedication, and her passion brought joy to so many children and families. Her kindness and vision will always be a part of this community.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. We know this news will be felt deeply by many, and we ask that everyone holds them in their thoughts.

Thank you all for being part of such a special group — one that exists because of her.

Today was our last day for our Sept 23 group 😢, where did that year go! We wish all our children the best of luck starting big Nursery this week 🙂!!.. In case you are unfamiliar, Healthy Start is a scheme which aims to provide financial assistance to pregnant women and low-income families with children under 4, so that they can buy fruit and veg and formula etc. Healthy Start is available in most parts of the UK (except Scotland who run a separate scheme) however, we in Northern Ireland have the lowest uptake rate of all nations – with approximately half of all eligible families claiming the funds they are entitled to.

The attached flyer contains a summary about Healthy Start and signposts to websites which explain the scheme in more detail, including eligibility and how to apply. Further information about Healthy Start is also available on NI Direct and on the Healthy Start webpage.

Children had a fab morning with Proparamedics learning all about first aid and exploring the ambulance 🙂 after visit children loved the role play area acting out what they had learnt!! Great morning 🙂🥰

When travelling with young children it’s always worth taking a quick look for any potential dangers in your accommodation when you arrive. Here are a few simple checks and precautions to remember:

⚠️ Move any cleaning products or medicines out of reach

⚠️ Check window blind cords are safely secured out of reach and that window locks work

⚠️ If you have a balcony ensure young children are supervised

⚠️ Check the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are working

⚠️ Be alert to any water nearby

Then you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
