Coal extraction - a big climate no-no and bad news for the lungs and drinking water of people living nearby.

Russian Vladimir Slivyak will be talking in the Canada Room at 5:30pm on Monday about the devastation caused by Russian coal mining to indigenous communities, and how Northern Ireland's coal imports link us to this horrible mess.

University commits to change in investment policy Newcastle University’s governing Council has agreed to take steps to ensure the organisation’s investments better reflect its values and ethos going forward.

As a result of our sit in, Queen's University agreed to consider ending the funnelling of public funds into fossil fuel giants. They will make this decision on 21st June at Senate.
