This is a crucial part of the ethos that we hold at the RedJelly private tutoring school. We aim to inspire learning and reading at our lessons with the library of books and knowledge of authors available to our pupils. It is important that the pupil enjoys the class and hence will enjoy learning throughout their life - biscuits and breadsticks for the health conscious are frequently eaten in long intense classes! As are particularly good chocolate chip cookies which are always a welcome break! The classes are tailored according to each child and towards their individual needs. In the early years it is essential for lessons to follow the same scheme and methods of literacy and numeracy as used by the school. However each child learns differently and this is recognised and a method adapted by the Tutor. What does this mean? The tutor will first identify what is happening with your child at school. The homework journal, school tests and current results are looked at but also how your child feels towards their work. It is this rapport between tutor and child which makes these lessons work so well. Your child can feel comfortable discussing their school work and any tricky subjects with their tutor. Sometimes at school it is often more difficult with time constraints and peer pressure. A plan of action is then made for your child! At 'the redjelly classes' we are passionate about your child's development. Whatever their age or ability, we motivate your child to:
Master Maths and English skills
Develop excellent concentration and study habits
Build lasting confidence and self-belief
Improve their all-round academic achievement
