George Best 5-aside tournament⚽

Our annual 5-aside tournament took place yesterday and hosted 8 teams from the local area. Nettlefield entered two teams into the tournament.

The A team started superbly and topped the group. B team showed great determination and ended up 3rd in the group. In the quarter finals both teams played very well and created many chances. The B team lost 1-0 and the A team drew 0-0 and so the match had to decided with a penalty shootout. It was a test of nerves, and sadly we lost on penalties in sudden death. Both teams knocked out in the quarter finals.

Well done to everyone who took part, you all did fantastic. A massive congratulations to Rosetta who won the tournament.

Primary 5 have been looking at coding this term. We have really enjoyed using the Micro:Bit, which is a miniature computer. Today we coded the Micro:bit to be a step counter in class and got to test it out in the quad playground.💻

Super fun coding and great to keep us fit and active too!💪
