The children in Ms. Doherty’s class enjoyed some fantastic outdoor learning this week! 🌟
They put their maths skills into practice by observing the cars in our school car park and creating a tally chart and frequency table to record the different car colours they spotted. 📊🔢

☕🍫 Hot Chocolate Fun in Ms. Doherty’s Class! 🍫☕

The children in Ms. Doherty’s class had a wonderful time developing their life skills by making their very own delicious hot chocolate! 🥰

They enjoyed adding scrumptious toppings, including fluffy marshmallows and creamy whipped cream. ☁️🍦
It was a fun, hands-on activity filled with smiles, learning and, of course, lots of tasty treats! 😋☕❤️

The children in KS1ST had lots of fun using the ice cream shop role-play area, while developing their communication and social skills. They enjoyed taking on different roles, talking to one another, taking orders and using new vocabulary as they played. This encouraged them to listen, share ideas and build confidence when communicating with their friends.

What a busy September we have had! 📚✨

Year 3 have been busy learning both inside and outside the classroom, making the most of every opportunity to explore, discover and have fun while learning.
We’ve enjoyed lots of playful learning, outdoor learning, activity-based learning, experiments and investigations, helping us to bring our lessons to life and make our learning memorable. 🌿🔎🧪🎨📖
It has been fantastic to see the children getting stuck in, asking questions, making discoveries, working together, sharing ideas and showing such enthusiasm for their learning. 💛

Today Pope Leo prayed the Rosary together with hundreds of children at the Lourdes Grotto in the Vatican Gardens, thus opening a worldwide prayer week from 1st to 7th October – the week will reach its highest point on 7th October, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Mrs O Connor's Year Twos prayed an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be. They completed beautiful artwork to complement their prayers.

Our Year 5 pupils have been learning about greater than and less than — and they’ve been using their bodies to bring the maths to life! 🙌
Working together, they created the < and > symbols with their arms and bodies, helping to reinforce which way the symbol should face. A fun, active way to make our learning memorable! 🧠✨

🍂 Year 2 Autumn Walk Around Half Moon Lake 🍁

Year 2 had a wonderful time exploring Half Moon Lake on their autumn walk! 🌳🍂 The children used their sense of sight to spot the signs of autumn all around them, noticing the beautiful colours and changes in nature. They also enjoyed collecting autumn treasures to bring back to the classroom, ready for further exploration and learning. 🍁🍃

Today, Year 5C had lots of fun using Izak 9 to help us learn and practise our 3 times tables! 🧮

Working together, the children used problem-solving skills, teamwork and lots of mathematical thinking to build their confidence and develop their multiplication skills. 💪🔢
