QUB RAG - Raise & Give

It’s a great community of students who come together to make the world a better place! Every year, a team of dedicated, passionate, and lively volunteers lead the group and make amazing things happen. Our Core Values: that help us to tell students who we are. They communicate why RAG is important to the student body and wider community. Charitable: It is our primary reason for existing. Charity should be at the center of anything we put out. Compassionate: We care about creating a community that is inclusive, empathetic, and caring. Creative: Finding innovative ways to raise as much money and awareness for our elected charities. Principled: We operate with strong ethics and morals. Everything we do is for what we believe is right for our student body and community. Fun: Raising and giving should be fun, through our events, communications, and presence, fun will underpin every we do. As part of the SU Elections, the student body votes for RAG's charities each year. The RAG charities for 2023/24 are:

Brainwaves NI:

Brainwaves NI is a brain tumor charity in Northern Ireland that is entirely run by volunteers. While most charities focus on research, this organization is unique in that it provides significant research funding as well as support to its members by bringing them together. Hope 4 Life NI:

Hope 4 Life NI is a grassroots charity with a dedicated team. They have delivered mental health and su***de prevention workshops to 28,000 young people and supported over 7,000 on their after-hours online support line.
