All aboard Le Train Bleu! The iconic 1924 ballet blended high fashion, avant-garde art, and playful athleticism into a dazzling spectacle about the joys of the seaside. Over 100 years later, choreographer Stina Quagebeur gives it a fresh take, honouring its legendary collaborators – Gabrielle Chanel, Jean Cocteau, Darius Milhaud, Bronislava Nijinska, and Pablo Picasso – and showcasing the skill of ENB’s dancers. This playful reinterpretation is performed at the V&A East Storehouse tonight, against Picasso’s monumental front cloth, with the kind support of Chanel.
