As a College we are passionate about helping our Year 13 and 14 students explore the many pathways available to them after school. Through our Careers Assemblies programme, students gain valuable insight into a wide range of professions, along with a real understanding of the responsibilities, lifestyle and opportunities connected to different career paths.

We are incredibly grateful for the positive response from parents and members of our community who have already volunteered to share their experiences and advice with our Sixth Form students.

If you would be interested in taking part, speaking at a future assembly or finding out more, we would love to hear from you. Your experience could help inspire the next generation and make a real impact on our pupils’ futures. πŸ—ΊοΈ

β˜€οΈ Warm Weather Uniform β˜€οΈ

With the warmer temperatures expected, pupils are not required to wear their school blazers.

PE kit may also be worn for comfort, provided it is official school PE kit only.

We encourage all pupils to apply sunscreen before coming to school, bring a refillable water bottle, and take sensible precautions to stay safe in the heat.

Thank you for your support as we help everyone stay comfortable and well during the warm weather.

🌟 End of Year Design Show 🌟

This year marked an exciting milestone as the Art & Design and Technology & Design departments came together for the first time to host a joint End of Year Design Show. The exhibition showcased an outstanding range of GCSE and A Level work, celebrating pupils’ creativity, innovation and technical skill, alongside the dedication and commitment invested in each project. πŸ’«

Parents, carers and pupils attended in large numbers, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere throughout the afternoon. We were especially honoured to welcome the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Róis-MÑire Donnelly, who engaged warmly with pupils and expressed great interest in the innovation and craftsmanship evident in their work. ✨

The event was a great success, providing a fitting celebration of the talent, hard work and achievements of our students.

Well done, everyone! 😊

This afternoon a group of Year 11 pupils enjoyed a fantastic poetry workshop at The Linen Hall as part of a joint project with the National History Museum and its Fixing our Broken Planet initiative, focusing on the Generation Hope strand.

The workshop explored themes of nature, landscape and place, encouraging pupils to reflect creatively on the world around them through poetry and discussion. Pupils had the opportunity to read a range of poems and excerpts before creating pieces of their own, either individually or collaboratively. ✍️

The session was led by Irish poet Stephen de BΓΊrca alongside the Linen Hall team, with librarian, Samantha McCombe, also sharing a special presentation featuring items from the library’s archives, giving pupils a fascinating insight into the past while they enjoyed some pizza together. 😊

It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to engage with literature, creativity and environmental themes in such an inspiring setting. We look forward to seeing some of the fantastic writing produced during the workshop! πŸ‘
