As a College, we have loved hearing about the wonderful activities and opportunities our pupils have immersed themselves in over the summer, along with their fabulous achievements. What a fantastic way to spend the holidays! 😊

A huge congratulations to sisters Robyn, one of our incoming Year 8 pupils, and sister Phoebe in Year 12, on their fantastic drama achievements. 👏

🌟 Robyn took part in three full productions back to back, taking on a lead role as Marty in Madagascar Jr with Belvoir Players, Bird Girl in Seussical the Musical with East Broadway, and Zach Mooneyham in School of Rock with Belvoir Players. An incredible summer of performing!

🌟 Phoebe also took to the stage in two full productions, playing Horton the Elephant in Seussical the Musical with East Broadway before taking on the role of school principal Rosalie Mullins in School of Rock with Belvoir Players. She held her nerve brilliantly and received excellent reviews for both performances.

We are so proud of you both and can’t wait to see where your love of drama takes you next!

There is already so much to look forward to as we begin a new school year next week and we can’t wait to see what our pupils will achieve in the year ahead.

Well done, Robyn and Phoebe! ✨

One year. So many experiences. So many opportunities.

Before we start looking ahead to another exciting year, it’s worth taking a moment to look back.

Over the past year, our pupils have:

✈️ travelled and experienced new cultures
🏉 🏑 🏏 represented their school, province and country
🎭 performed on stage
🎶 shared their talents through music
🌍 developed their understanding of the world around them
💡 explored new ideas through STEM and innovation
🧭 taken on challenges through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
👩‍💼 developed leadership and worked with our wider community
🤝 built friendships, confidence and memories along the way

Some experiences happened in classrooms.
Some happened on pitches and stages.
Some happened thousands of miles from Belfast.

But every one of them was an opportunity to try something new, discover a strength or see the world differently.

Because Sixth Form is about more than the subjects you study.

It’s about the person you become.

24 subjects. Countless opportunities. A future waiting to be explored.

See what you can be at VCB.

Today we are taking a moment to reflect on the amazing results achieved by our A2 pupils yesterday — and the percentages really do speak for themselves! 🌟

We know, however, that every grade is so much more than a number. Each result represents the combination of the core values we instil in every VCB pupil: they demonstrate courage, make the most of every opportunity, take responsibility and consistently exceed expectations.

We also know that these achievements don’t happen in isolation. Behind our pupils is an incredible support network — from our dedicated teaching and support staff to parents, families and everyone in our wider community who encourages and challenges our young people every single day.

We are a real community at VCB and yesterday was a wonderful celebration of what can be achieved when that community comes together. 💫

If you’re considering your next steps, we would love you to experience that community for yourself. Come and discover what VCB Sixth Form could offer you. ✨

Congratulations to our wonderful AS and A2 pupils! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our pupils and their fantastic results this morning. It was a joy to celebrate with you and your families in person and to share in such a special milestone.

We know that achieving these grades is a team effort and recognise the hard work, determination and commitment of our pupils, alongside the support and encouragement of those nearest and dearest to them. ❤️
To our Year 14 leavers, we wish you every success and happiness as you begin your next chapter. We look forward to following all that you go on to achieve as our newest VCB alumni – and we hope you’ll keep in touch!

We look forward to welcoming our Year 13 pupils into Upper Sixth in the coming weeks as they prepare to make their final mark on VCB. We can’t wait to see what this next year brings! ✨
