Year 8 Extracurricular Sport

Today marked the beginning of our Year 8 Boys and Girls on their sporting journey in Aquinas Diocesan Grammar School.

The Year 8 Girls Soccer, with some of the girls playing their first competitive game, came up against a very good Bloomfield team. The girls never gave up and played right to the final whistle.

The Year 8 Boys Soccer team played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the Belfast Cup, against a good Ashfield Boys team. Having came from 2-0 down, the team was very unlucky not the get the win.

Our Year 8 Hurlers, alongside the Year 9's played a pivotal role in winning our Corn Mhic Cumhail group, with comprehensive wins against St Pius X and La Salle.
Well done to everyone involved.

Congratulations to Erin who was selected for the Irish team that will compete in the RLSS National Lifesaving Championships in Birmingham in November. She was selected after winning the gold medal in her age group at the Irish Regionals over the weekend.
