9CF and 10SA completed their ‘Food Nerds’ programme this week. Each group presented their research findings to researchers from Queen’s University, and were all presented with certificates of excellence. Well done everyone!

What an experience!! Students from 9CF, 11NF and 12JK had a visit to Belsonic today to see what goes on behind the scenes. They even got to stand on the stage to see the view!

We are delighted to share that Park School has achieved the Schools of Sanctuary Award. We are the first special school in Northern Ireland to achieve this award, and we are very proud!

The visitors to our school on Monday, from the Belfast City of Sanctuary, were particularly impressed by the enthusiasm and engagement of pupils and staff, and by the many ways in which the school promotes understanding, kindness, inclusion, and respect for people from all backgrounds. Achieving School of Sanctuary status is not simply an award; it reflects a culture of welcome that is embedded throughout the life of the school.
We are looking forward to attending a special SoS Celebration Award Ceremony in Belfast City Hall, during Good Relations Week, in October 2026!

Congratulations to all our Students of the Month.
We also had new awards this month. These awards were given to students who have shown one of our core values (Confidence, Empathy, Independence, Resilience and Respect). It is fantastic to see how our students are showing these values throughout school.
Well done everyone!

Today, the Post 16 Spanish and HE classes joined forces for a fantastic tapas afternoon. Students enjoyed tasting a range of traditional Spanish dishes, including paella, gambas pil pil, tortilla, croquetas and albóndigas. It was a brilliant opportunity to bring language and food together, giving students a real taste of Spanish culture in a fun and memorable way.

Our Young Enterprise Team enjoyed a day off marketing to have a celebratory lunch together in Frankie and Benny’s. A well deserved treat!
