Our core team hold formal childcare qualifications, meaning we understand child development, behaviour management, and how to keep every child engaged. Further to this, all of our team are trained in First Aid, Safeguarding, and Child Protection.

The mental load of packing for summer camp is real, which is why everything is included in our daily price. No waking up early to make packed lunches or worry about packing enough snacks. Bumbles provides a nutritious lunch, snacks and all activities at no extra cost.

Families have always valued our adhoc booking approach for Camp and this year is no different. With no set full-time or weekly patterns, fit Summer Camp around your family life, summer plans and holidays.

⏳ Spaces are limited and bookings are accepted on a first come, first served basis, so we strongly encourage families to book early to avoid disappointment. We are a smaller Camp and once sessions reach capacity, no further bookings will be accepted.

It is great to see the Early Years taking centre stage in the news this week with the Princess of Wales' visit to Reggio Emilia. 🇮🇹

This has Bumbles Director Patsy reminiscing about her International Study Trip to Reggio back in 2015.

Bumbles in the Park is one of 5 Bumbles settings and is located in the small cottage beside the Children's Playground in Ormeau Park.

We provide a warm and nurturing childcare environment for all children, where every child’s voice matters and their interests shape the day. Alongside the early years approach we also follow a playwork approach, offering child-led activities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and independence. By tuning into what children enjoy most, we create engaging experiences that help them learn, grow, and thrive in a relaxed, supportive environment.

The outdoor space immediately outside our cottage offers endless hours of fun and fresh air. Gentle group activities like circle times, story-telling, and learning BSL are introduced as children settle into the rhythm of combining nursery school with after-nursery care.

We venture into the wider Ormeau Park giving children the chance to explore the natural environment, from climbing trees to enjoying peaceful walks. These experiences encourage confidence, physical development, and a strong connection with nature.

Bumbles collects children from local nursery schools, and we provide opportunities for rest, relaxation, and soothing activities such as art, meditation, yoga, and free play during their day with us.

We are dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating, and joyful environment where children feel valued, supported, and excited to explore each day. Come and visit us!
