I am delighted to share that our nursery is celebrating 20 wonderful years in business today. Reaching this milestone feels both special and a little unbelievable — it only seems like a few years ago that we opened our doors and welcomed our very first group of children. I feel extremely lucky to come to the nursery each day and do a job that I love; it has been the most amazing experience, and I am forever grateful.
I want to thank all our staff, past and present, for the contribution they have made to Adventures over the years. Without you, none of it would have been possible. The love and dedication you have shown to the children in your care is a credit to every one of you. To all the parents who have placed their children with us - your children are a credit to you, and you should feel rightly proud of each and every one of them. Thank you for your trust and support over the last 20 years. I look forward to continuing the Adventures journey for many years to come.

We are sad to say that one of our lovely staff will be leaving us shortly and it creates the following post for us to advertise:

Supervisor Post –This is a full time post during the nursery opening hours of 8am to 6pm. Supervisors generally work 4 full days and one half day. Applicants should either hold or be working towards a level 3 childcare qualification.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for sharing our recruitment advert last week! We’re excited to welcome Lisa, our new chef, who will be coming in this week to meet the children and start her training. With her background in catering and working with young children, we’re thrilled to have her join our team!

We’re also on the lookout for a Cleaner, who would work 10 hours a week from 3.30pm to 5.30pm daily. If you know anyone who might be interested, please spread the word and ask them to give us a call on 028 9060 4901. Thanks so much for your help!

We're sad to share that our chef will be moving on to a new job. This means we have a vacancy for a new chef to join our amazing team. From past experience we know this post tends to attract plenty of interest, so please pass the information on to anyone who might be keen!

Vacancy description: Nursery chef

Hours: starting at 9am with a flexible finish time from 1.30pm. Monday to Friday

Location: Adventures Day Nursery, 146 Glen Road. Belfast. BT11 8BN

Qualifications: Level 2 food hygiene or equivalent.

Experience: catering for groups of children would be helpful, however reliability, good time management, ability to complete paperwork neatly and accurately, a willingness to learn and a warm and friendly approach are essential skills for this post.

Adventures Day Nursery is currently advertising for some new staff to join our team.

Our first vacancy is a Supervisor position with responsibility for a small team of staff. This is a full-time post with an option to have a half days leave each week. We are ideally looking for someone currently holding, or working towards a Level 3 childcare qualification with a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a supervisory role.

Our second vacancy is for a Part-Time Nursery Assistant. For this post we are looking for someone currently holding, or working towards a Level 2 childcare qualification. The shift pattern for part-time staff is flexible during the nursery opening hours of 8am to 6pm. However, the post will generally be 12-6 Monday to Friday.

Adventures Day Nursery will shortly be implementing the Eager and Able to Learn program in our 2-3 year old playrooms.

To prepare for this we are recruiting for a new member of staff to join our amazing team.

As friends and family of the nursery, you may wish to pass this information on to someone you know, who you feel would make a good addition to our team. Anyone wishing to apply must hold relevant childcare qualifications as listed below.

The position is Part-Time Nursery Assistant. We are ideally looking for someone holding a Level 2 childcare qualification with a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in an assistant role. We will also consider applications from candidates who are enrolled on a Level 2 qualification, with 1 years’ experience in a daycare setting.

The shift pattern for part-time staff is flexible during the nursery opening hours of 8am to 6pm. However, the post will generally be 12-6 Monday to Friday.

We are advertising an assistant post, which will be 25-30 hours per week. The shift pattern for part-time staff is flexible during the nursery opening hours of 8am to 6pm. However, the hours will generally be 12-6 Monday to Friday. It is not necessary to hold a childcare qualification, however the successful applicant must agree to start the Level 2 Children’s Care Learning and Development course after a period of induction with us.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to anyone who posted a comment about Adventures on the Families First website recently. We were delighted to win the award for the Best Nursery Team at last nights awards ceremony in the Titanic Building. I always tell everyone that Adventures has the best team of staff we could ever ask for. It’s amazing that they all got the recognition they deserve at last nights event. Well done everyone and thank you for choosing to work at Adventures. I am so proud of you all.
