We are sad to say that one of our lovely staff will be leaving us shortly and it creates the following post for us to advertise:

Supervisor Post –This is a full time post during the nursery opening hours of 8am to 6pm. Supervisors generally work 4 full days and one half day. Applicants should either hold or be working towards a level 3 childcare qualification.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for sharing our recruitment advert last week! We’re excited to welcome Lisa, our new chef, who will be coming in this week to meet the children and start her training. With her background in catering and working with young children, we’re thrilled to have her join our team!

Vacancy description: Nursery chef

Hours: starting at 9am with a flexible finish time from 1.30pm. Monday to Friday

Location: Adventures Day Nursery, 146 Glen Road. Belfast. BT11 8BN

Qualifications: Level 2 food hygiene or equivalent.

Experience: catering for groups of children would be helpful, however reliability, good time management, ability to complete paperwork neatly and accurately, a willingness to learn and a warm and friendly approach are essential skills for this post.

The shift pattern for part-time staff is flexible during the nursery opening hours of 8am to 6pm. However, the post will generally be 12-6 Monday to Friday.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to anyone who posted a comment about Adventures on the Families First website recently. We were delighted to win the award for the Best Nursery Team at last nights awards ceremony in the Titanic Building. I always tell everyone that Adventures has the best team of staff we could ever ask for. It’s amazing that they all got the recognition they deserve at last nights event. Thank you to everyone who has messaged to say about the tree which has fallen across the nursery driveway. It’s amazing to see how many people look out for us. We have to wait until tomorrow when the storm blows over to get things sorted. Hopefully everything’s been ok for you all.

Over the past few months, we have said a sad goodbye to some of the children who have left us to go to Nursery and Primary schools. This allows us to move children around to their next playroom and change or add additional days on for our existing parents. We have now finished this process, and we have a few spaces to offer out to new parents. I just wanted to let our Facebook/Meta followers know in case any of you are waiting to hear back from us about spaces. A new petition has started which looks to help our children with Special Educational needs when they reach 19 and finish school. This is a petition that I know will affect many of our nursery families and I would encourage everyone to take a few minutes to sign the petition and forward the link to as many people as possible
