With more than 700 learners receiving their OCN qualification results at the college, it was a pleasure to join them, their families and the inspiring staff in celebrating their achievements.

Congratulations to every learner receiving results across Northern Ireland today. We hope you feel proud of everything you have achieved.

And if today hasn’t gone the way you hoped, remember that one set of results does not determine your future. There are many pathways to learning, progression and employment, including apprenticeships, traineeships and vocational qualifications.

OCN is proud to have awarded more than 60,000 vocational and professional qualifications during the 2025/26 academic year.

From uncertainty to award recognition 🌟

Unsure of her path during A Levels, Reese chose to follow her passion for IT at South West College.

That decision opened the door to incredible opportunities, including speaking at Cisco's WISE events, participating in Hack Belfast, attending the Humber Global Summer School in Canada, completing the OCN NI Level 4 Cyber Security qualification, and progressing to study Software Engineering at Queen's University.

Recently, Reese spoke at OCN's Learning Endeavour Awards Event and was shortlisted for Learner of the Year at the Federation of Awarding Bodies Qualifications and Assessment Excellence Awards.

Reese's journey is a testament to the power of resilience, determination and finding the path that's right for you.
