It has been an incredibly busy, hands-on week of learning across all of our year groups!
Hereโs a snapshot of what our children have been up to:
๐ดโโ ๏ธKindergarten set sail for Adventure! Our youngest Campbellians channelled their inner explorers for Pirate Day, bringing a wave of energy, imagination, and great fun to the classrooms.
๐๏ธPrep 4 stepped back in time. They brought history to life during their World War II assembly.
โ๏ธPrep 6 turned into filmmakers! Combining science and technology, the boys explored Renewable Energy through the creation of stop-motion videos.
๐๏ธPrep 7 mastered pre-cinema animation! They put their engineering and design hats on to build functioning zoetropes, bringing static drawings to life through the magic of early animation.
Beyond the facts and figures, a week like this is where real growth happens. Our pupils have been actively curious, sharpening their critical thinking, collaborating in teams, and unleashing their creativity to solve problems and express their ideas.
We are so proud of their enthusiasm and the effort they put into everything they do.

Thank you to everyone who has already supported our CCJS team as we prepare to take on the Beat the Mournes challenge on Saturday 13 June in memory of our much-loved and deeply missed friend and colleague, Mrs Laura May Leyland.
We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of the Campbell community. Every donation helps Marie Curie continue providing essential care and support to families at their most vulnerable times.

A massive congratulations to our Prep 4 - Prep 7 boys who took part in Sports Day! Whether you took home a medal or cheered your house on from the side lines, your energy and enthusiasm made the day unforgettable! ๐
Sports Day is about so much more than just crossing the finish line. It takes a unique set of skills that our boys demonstrate every single day:
Resilience: Pushing through the final stretch, even when your legs are tired.
Teamwork: Lifting each other up.
Sportsmanship: Celebrating your classmates' victories just as loudly as your own.
Focus and Discipline: Channelling all that energy and practice into one big moment.
We are incredibly proud of the determination and Campbell spirit you all showed. Thank you to our fantastic parents who cheered the boys on and also got involved in a couple of races!

Our Prep 6 boys had an absolute blast on their residential at Greenhill YMCA this week. Safe to say, memories were made. Here is a quick recap of what they got up to:
๐ฅพ An adventure walk through the mud and running water of Slieve Donard (apologies to the laundry teams at home! ๐ฆ)
๐น An incredibly competitive game of Archery Tag
๐งโโ๏ธ Conquering fears on the zip-line and climbing wall!
Oh, and did we mention bumping into His Majesty the King during his visit to Newcastle?
๐ Not your average school trip! ๐คฉ
An unforgettable few days with a stellar group of boys. ๐ค

Our Prep 7 boys have had a brilliant time in Shropshire!
It has been an action-packed week with lots of different activities including high ropes, archery tag, trapese, raft building, abseiling and a (not so) silent disco.
We're looking forward to hearing all about it when you return boys!

Our Prep 7 boys have landed at PGL Boreatton Park in Shropshire for a week packed with excitement! So far they've enjoyed rifle shooting, zip-lining, climbing, and the giant swing. Tomorrow brings raft-building and archery, and we canโt wait to see how they get on. Theyโre gaining confidence, working together, and picking up new skills, all while having an amazing time!

Our KS2 boys lit up the stage this week with The Lion King! Three incredible performances bursting with colour and music, and every audience left smiling, cheering, and completely blown away. ๐ฆโจ
A huge thank you to our amazing staff and our wonderful parents for all the support, creativity, costumes, rehearsals, and encouragement. A very special shoutโout to one of our parents Claire Shepherd Murray, whose brilliant direction brought the whole production to life. Weโre so grateful for her vision, energy, and dedication.
So proud of our boys! Their confidence, teamwork, and joy shone in every moment. ๐

What a week we have had in Junior School! Kindergarten enjoyed a wonderful visit from Richard of Hannahโs Florist in Holywood. The children explored a wide variety of plants and flowers, developing their scientific vocabulary as they observed textures, shapes and colours. They also planted sunflower seeds and are eagerly checking on their progress each day.๐ป
Prep 2 had a fantastic trip to Castle Espie. The boys enjoyed exploring the wetlands, observing wildlife, and deepening their understanding of habitats through realโworld experiences.
