While there are so many great budgeting tools and apps available it can be difficult to know where to start when it comes to making a budget. If it seems overwhelming, keep it simple with the 50:30:20 budgeting rule.

50% of your total income goes to your essential spending: rent, bills, transport.
30% of your total income goes towards your non-essential spending like events, clothes etc.
20% of your total income goes into your savings so you know you have a safety net when the time comes.
