Led by a piper, our leavers will take their last walk through the Castle Grounds, becoming the final ever Ben Madigan Leavers.

Piping will commence at 12.00 noon, and we kindly ask guests to gather from 11.45am to ensure a warm and memorable send-off.

This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the rich history, friendships and memories of Ben Madigan Preparatory School and to honour those who form part of its final chapter.

Ben Madigan Preparatory School

Following winning the Northern Ireland final of the UK Mathematics Trust Team Challenge in Belfast, the Junior team of Angus, Mochsa, Ejike and Timothy travelled to Manchester for the National Final on Monday 8th June. Their achievement means that BRA represented Northern Ireland at both Senior and Junior level this year.

At this event, they competed against the top-placed schools from across the UK in five rounds of challenging mathematics. One round included answering questions and preparing a poster on the topic of Sangaku (geometric problems from the Edo period of Japan). Preparation for this competition took place over many months and required much time and discipline to master the techniques needed for each round. While not placing in the top rankings on the day, they nevertheless did very well to compete at such an elite level.

Congratulations to Enzo, Oliver, and their Larne FC Academy U16 teammates on a great 2-1 victory against St. Joseph's AFC in the Subway All-Ireland Cup Winners Cup. A tremendous achievement!

Huge congratulations to recent M6 leaver, Chester, on his selection for the TeamNI Gymnastics squad to travel to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer! It is an incredible achievement and an amazing opportunity for Chester, and a testament to the hard work and dedication he has shown to reach this tremendous milestone in his gymnastics career.

We are incredibly proud of those who recently achieved their Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award. As part of their celebration, they were invited to Buckingham Palace, where they heard a speech from HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, and had the opportunity to meet him.

Well done to all who have completed this prestigious award. To our current Gold participants - keep up the excellent work. Your commitment and perseverance are truly commendable.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞
In this year’s Intermediate Maths Challenge BRA pupils achieved: 24 Bronze, 22 Silver and 6 Gold Awards. Ryan T, Ryan P and Michael were selected to participate in the next round (the Pink Kangaroo competition) with Ryan P and Michael obtaining Bronze certificates and Ryan T a Silver certificate. Very well done to everyone who participated.

Thank you to everyone who came along to watch the opening night of Matilda the Musical, and for giving our fabulous cast and crew a well-deserved standing ovation!

BRA will again be transformed into Crunchem Hall Primary School tonight and tomorrow night, when the smell of rebellion will be in the air and the pupils, led by Matilda, take on the might of Miss Trunchbull. You can request a Proof of Benefit letter online: https://t.co/vhcVyDRoi5 (It will take at least five days to be sent to you)

If you receive Universal Credit, you do not need the Proof of Benefit Letter. However, you will need to upload evidence of your Universal Credit entitlement when you apply.
