Last weekend the Northern Irish Suzuki violinists were celebrating their achievements during the yearly Graduation concert- it was a great opportunity to meet and play together, and to mark the next steps in our student's developement- Congratulations to all players, teachers and parents!

Definitely a good point of view! This year I have sent a good few students already back to the shop to get a smaller violin.

The 1st of June is a special day for all children in Poland- it's their Day! In the UK we can celebrate it, too, anyway children should be celebrated every day :)
In the Suzuki Method, it is all about bringing the best out of these young people, whether it comes to playing or just being their best selves. As Shinichi Suzuki, the founder of the mother tongue method believed, character is first, ability second!
Below is a photo from my archive, in the pre pandemic era I used to do workshops at my friend's Suzuki studio in Opole, minipaganini.pl. I realised how much I miss visiting them, and hope to be back as soon as possible!!
In the meantime, I am welcoming children from Northern Ireland into my studio here in Belfast, as I have moved from London where I work as a Suzuki teacher at several schools.
