One of our wonderful nursery dads (Conor) works as a mortgage and protection broker and is offering a fantastic affiliate opportunity. If you take out a life insurance policy through his company, the nursery will receive a £50 referral fee to benefit our children.

We are thrilled to share that St. Peter’s Nursery School has been officially recognised as a ‘Being Well, Doing Well’ school! This award celebrates our commitment to nurturing the health and well-being of our entire school community. We know that children thrive when the adults around them are supported too. We will be sharing the Action for Happiness Self-Care Calendar each month with our staff, BOG and parents/guardians. Taking care of our own well-being sets a wonderful example for our children and gives us the energy to navigate busy family life. We hope these small, daily ideas help everyone to press pause and recharge!

Remember to make your free school meals application asap if you believe you are entitled.

If you plan to send your child to school with a packed lunch but are entitled to free school meals, please still apply as our future budget is based on the number of pupils in receipt of free school meals.

Celebrating Success! 🎉 Such a beautiful event in Northern Ireland to celebrate schools that champion emotional health. We were so proud to accept our Whole School Approach plaque on behalf of St Peter's Nursery School! This award highlights the hard work of our staff, families, and community. We know a child's wellbeing is just as important as their learning. We love this journey and cannot wait to keep growing together! 💙

What a fabulous year. Thanks so much each and every one of you for choosing St Peter's Nursery School and giving us the chance to teach your children. They are amazing individuals who have brought so much happiness, love, laughter and learning to our classrooms. Education is a journey and they definitely got the best start. We believe in each and every one of them and have no doubt they will blaze a path of their own brilliance and illuminate the world.

St Peter's Nursery School achieves Autism NI Impact Award for Education, demonstrating our commitment to inclusion for autistic and neurodivergent students and their families.

Staff received tailored training from Autism NI and implemented a bespoke action plan of adjustments across the school, to build a more inclusive environment.

Autism NI’s Director of Development, Christine Kearney said “We are delighted that St Peter's Nursery School has achieved the Impact Award. Through their training and action plan, the school has implemented a range of practical and meaningful changes to promote accessibility. By achieving the Impact Award, they have shown a clear commitment to building an inclusive culture for their students, and will strive to continue building positive accessible options for their students.”

Autism NI work alongside autistic people and their families, and build partnerships that champion better understanding, accessibility, and services for our autism community. The Impact Award for Education is available for a range of schools and education facilities, to build their inclusive approach for students and their families.
