“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

Following Jesus involves our hearts - and our minds.
We study because we want to understand God's Word more deeply.
We ask questions because truth matters.
We learn because what we believe shapes how we live.

At Belfast School of Theology, academic study, spiritual formation and practical Christian service belong together.

Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep following Jesus.

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved…” — 2 Timothy 2:15

Study matters.
Understanding Scripture matters.
Knowing why we believe what we believe matters.

Not so that we can simply know more — but so that we can faithfully handle God's Word and serve others well.

Study. Understand. Serve.

Theology isn't just something you study. It's something you live.
What we believe about God shapes the way we see everything else.

Our relationships.
Our work.
Our churches.
Our communities.
Our culture.
Our purpose.

Studying theology is about more than gaining knowledge. It's about becoming a more thoughtful, faithful and equipped follower of Jesus.
Study theology. Live it out.

Theology was never meant to stay in the classroom.

Learn it.
Live it.
Put it into practice.

Our BA (Hons) Theology students don't simply study ministry - practical placement is built into the programme.
In the first two years, students have the opportunity to undertake a placement of approximately three hours each week, putting learning into practice in real ministry contexts.
Because theological education should shape how we serve.

What are you called to?

Maybe you don't know yet.
And that's OK.
Sometimes discovering where God is leading begins by being willing to grow, learn and take the next step.

At BST, the first year of our BA (Hons) Theology programme builds around three key areas:
📖 Bible
🌍 Mission
⛪ Ministry
Giving you foundations for wherever God may lead you next.
