It's been a busy week!! Lots of baaaaaasssss 🙂

Another Rockschool success. This time it's Chris Smith who 'smashed' his grade 5 bass guitar exam. My only lefty, Chris is ramping things up come September and aiming to attend Music College in England. Congratulations, Chris, great work 👍

Congratulations to Bass Academy student Michael Cox on his grade 8 Rockschool result. Worth all the "torture". Rumour has it the next torture is the double bass variety!

Frances brought this stunning old bass to her lesson this week. It dates back to the late 1700s/early 1800s and was made by an English maker called Forster. He didn't make many double basses which makes this one extra special. The armed guards are just out of picture!!

Congratulations to Bass Academy student, Georgia Quinn, on passing her grade 8 ABRSM double bass exam. Georgia graduated from QUB with a Masters in Pharmacy the same day as she got her result...bet that was a good party!

Congratulations to Jack Morrow on his recent ABRSM double bass grade 6 exam result. A terrific score and one which represents many hours spent in 'the woodshed'. Jack's been playing double bass and studying at The Bass Academy for just over 2 years. He also scored 100% (don't blush Jack) in his recent grade 5 ABRSM theory exam. Watch out for this guy!
