Year 8 Man of the Month Awards:

A huge congratulations to our Year 8 September Man of the Month award winners: Logan, Jayden, Conan, Leo, Oisín and Jude! These young men have made an outstanding start to life in Year 8, demonstrating positivity through their attitudes, kindness, resilience, enthusiasm and willingness to support others. Whether embracing new challenges, encouraging their peers, getting involved in school life or simply bringing a smile to those around them, each pupil has shown the power of a positive mindset. Well done, boys. We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to seeing your continued success throughout the year!

KS3 and KS4 Home Economics pupils also got involved in the celebration of European Day of Languages across the College, making some delicious cinnamon swirls and calzone! I hope some of them made them home for our families to enjoy! Buon appetito!

Can you guess who Mr Po***ck (AKA Mr Pollywood) gave 1st prize to?!

We are extremely proud of our current Year 11 Linguists who have already achieved a Language GCSE in Year 10. Connlaodh, Eoin, Jude, Oliver, Rathlin and Con achieved fantastic results continuing the tradition of outstanding results in GCSE Irish in Year 10. We are also very proud of David who was the first Year 10 student to sit GCSE Italian and achieved an A Grade. This fantastic success is a testament to their hard work and dedication. Good luck to you all as you continue your GCSE studies!

Congratulations to Adam Doherty who won the U19 Ulster Schools Scratch Cup at Dungannon Golf Club. Adam shot a 3 under par round of 68 to finish with 39 points. Adam has qualified for the All Ireland Schools final at Lucan Golf Club in April 2027. A big shout out to Charlie Lowe as well who finished 6th on a score of 35 points. Well done lads 💚🖤

Over the last few weeks, as part of our Year 8 Transition and Induction Programme, our Year 8 Spiritual Retreats have taken place, led by Deacon Dowd.

These retreats provided a valuable opportunity for our new boys to reflect, build relationships, and strengthen their sense of belonging within our College community. We are grateful to Deacon Dowd for guiding these meaningful experiences as our pupils continue to settle into life at the College.

GCSE Module Success

We are delighted to recognise the outstanding GCSE module results achieved by our new Year 12 cohort this August.

These results represent the culmination of their first year of GCSE study and reflect the dedication, perseverance and hard work shown by students throughout Year 11. While there is still another year of GCSE study ahead, these achievements provide an excellent foundation for future success.

We are incredibly proud of every student and the commitment they have demonstrated. Pictured are some of the top achieving students in the year group, with an impressive 190 A*/A grades in this photo. Some highly commendable performances include:
- 100% A* grades in GCSE Irish
- 100% A*-C grades in GCSE Mathematics
- 100% A*-C grades in GCSE Government and Politics

A fantastic way to round off our final Open Day visit of the year at Ulster University Coleraine campus. Our Year 14 pupils enjoyed exploring the campus, meeting lecturers and current students, and discovering the wide range of courses and opportunities available.
